This is a nice toy, but recipient is 9 months old and does not yet have the dexterity and coordination to push the buttons. He will pick it up if it is near by and his 3 year old sister will help him with it, but she does not seek out this toy.

We bought one of these Shelly's for our daughter to take on an airplane over a year ago. It was great! She still plays with it to this day in the car, at a restaurant, or even at home. I'll even admit, I've found myself playing with it. If fits nicely in a diaper bag or purse. I bought another one for my niece now that she's old enough to fidget with things!

We gave this toy as a gift to my nieces daughter, who is 1 year old. This toy was great because of the clicking and pushing down and then sliding it around. Also, it is a good size for her as her hands are small and it fit nicely in her hand. We gave it to her at Easter when they were in town. She is teething and she would hold it and chew on it as well as play with it.

I really like this toy. It is cute and great for fine motor and color matching. I wish it had more than 3 balls to slide though. I have a puzzle ball just like it, and it only has 1 open hole. I do like that the balls are pretty easy to push. My grandson loves it!

My 15 month old loves this toy! We bought it for him to encourage fine motor skill practice and this is the only toy that holds his attention. I also love that it is portable to keep him entertained in the car.

From the moment he had it it was so much fun for him. Throughout his Birthday Party the one toy he keeps coming back to was the Pop & Slide Shelly.

The Shelly toy is cute, well-made, durable, and easy to use yet stillinteresting to my little one. She's only 9 months and throws it a lot by accident but when it's in her hands she is very engaged. I only wish it had more than three parts that \pop and slide\"—like maybe 4 or 5 would have been better. But overall it's a great toy that I think she'll enjoy for months if not years."

My son is 14 months old and we got him the Pop and Slide Shelly for his Easter Basket. He rarely plays with any toy more than 5-10 minutes at a time, electronic or otherwise. I was really hoping he would play with this one for longer, but so far he just plays with it for a few minutes and then moves on to something else. That being said, when he does play with it, he is really concentrating and using his fingers to manipulate the little circles around the shell. It's so cute to see him concentrating on this toy. I also love that it is not an electronic toy. I think his attention span is just related to his age and I will certainly be taking Shelly along with us on car rides and when we travel to occupy him, at least for a few minutes.
