Laugh-Out-Loud Fun

This funny tale about Mayor Mayo trying to wrangle the crabby, stinky, rottenly rude inhabitants of over-stuffed Fridge-opolis had me laughing out loud. ("Hey Dill-Juice!") Bonus kid-friendly material in the back about the scale of food waste and what individuals can do about it.

In the city of Fridge-opolis, uneaten foods have been left to rot for what appears like weeks, if not months! The horror! The With hysterical puns and wordplay, along with Josh Cleland’s colorful and fun illustrations, the author offers a fun and accessible look at the very serious problem of food waste. The back matter explains the issue further and provides some easy ways kids can help, including storing foods properly, composting, and eating leftovers before they spoil. Great book!

I so enjoyed this fun and playful book centered around a fridge that has gotten a bit, say, spoiled. With fun rhymes and bright illustrations, this book is sure to delight, while also engaging readers with the concept of food waste in the informational back matter.
