I've used this product for years and love that I can now get it from my local Target. I think it's fair to say that it is thick and I imagine if it get on extensions it could make sewn in hair feel clunky, but after using for a long time I've learned that a little goes a very long way, so I've never really had that issue. Because it is thick, you can put a small amount on the scalp and it sits there. And, it smells great.
Not to be used when wearing a sew in or other extensions...

This product is great when used on your natural hair when not wearing a sew in with wig cap/net. If that's the case, I would give it 5 stars. It smells amazing and has a great consistency of essential oils. However, I rated it low because it is marketed to be used with protective styles. It should specify that you should not use it when wearing a sew in. The reason is that it is very thick and leaves the extensions extremely greasy. The applicator is designed for you to apply it directly to your scalp, but ladies ...believe me...it's impossible to prevent it from penetrating your extensions.
