  • A: Absolutely! There are 3 different ways to make a call with Nest Hub Max; Duo calling, Google supported calls, and Mobile calling. Please take note that Nest Hub will require a Wi-Fi connection to perform its functionalities. Nest Hub also has voice command other than having an interactive display to control it. Just say ¨Hey Google¨ or ¨Okay Google¨ before asking or giving it your voice command, like ¨What's the weather today?¨. Your Nest display screen can show a wealth of information like notifications, your weather forecast, activities, and your alarms using your voice. You can also change the language of your Google Assistant to Spanish, or add an additional language to speak to the Assistant in two languages and talk to your Nest Hub Max on either language. To change your language: - On your mobile device, open the Google Home app Google Home app. - At the top right, tap your account and then Assistant settings Languages. - Tap your current language and choose a new language.   • A: Do be advised that if you have the Nest app, and haven’t migrated over to Google because you have “Works with Nest” devices, you won’t be able to add the Max to your non Google account. Once you migrate, you can’t go back.

Do not buy this. the camera does not work and won't work no matter how many times you reset the device or your Wi-Fi. I feel like either google is disabling the feature or they are selling these with broken cameras. At this point it is a giant clock for the living room.

I bought this for the camera. The camera will NOT stay connected no matter what I do. By mid day, the camera doesn’t connect to the app so basically renders this thing useless if you want it to monitor your home.

I am 64 yrs old, I got a free Nest Thermostat from Consumers Energy and I needed the google hub to help operate it. I am still learning to use the hub. I am waiting for it to warm up so I can put the thermostat up. I don't want to install it and have troubles of it not working right and freezing. I am thinking of getting the door bell next.

The Google Nest Home Max is by far the most worthless home efficiency tool you can buy. It does have the ability to make video and audio calls, but then so does your phone. It also has the ability to help answer questions you may have: “Hey Google, how many cups in a quart?” but then so does a Google Home Mini that you can buy for $40($20 from most Facebook marketplace sales). What it does not have is any functionality that you would want in a standing hub system. It has no way of showing a monthly family calendar so you can see what’s going on or plan-ahead. It has no way of creating a user-friendly chore or task-list so you can be more efficient with your day. It also doesn’t work on new network router systems, so you have to be a little network savvy and ensure you disable IPv6 in multiple settings of your router in order for it to actually work in the first place. Finally, while you’re trying to troubleshoot and fix all the issues with your Google Nest Hub Max system your short return window is slowly dwindling down, and working with their customer support is similar to working with a movie stereotyped version of the Department of Motor Vehicles (no offense DMV, you’ve been good to me). Once you get sent back and forth between two different departments under the guise of trying to help you, you’ll eventually give up. You will be the new proud owner of the worlds bulkiest, non-wireless, least versatile tablet in the world. Run away, don’t buy this product, good luck.

I am a senior and at first I was thrilled that the G Assistant had closed captioning but does not for everything else, not even the news. The whole GUI is an unintuitive, error prone, and clunky mess. The light-weight display is fine unless you try to "double tap to activate" an icon = it has too much give and is difficult to "double tap". It reminds me of the Pixel 6 fingerprint reader issues. I've also asked the Assistant to STOP when it was speaking and received a warning about my Sonos Roam (more than once)? I wish Google would make their devices work and then worry about flooding us with picky, gimmicky tips.

This Google hub max does all the things I would expect it to do. It has great dashboards, picture quality, digital photo frame, etc.The only reason I'm taking a star off is because when I ask Google to do something, both this device and the mini speakers in the other rooms speak up and try to answer it along with my phone. So that part can get annoying. I've tried adjusting the dials to enable one device to respond more than the other but it doesn't always work well. If you are on the fence I would still 100% recommend this product. Been great in every other way.

We have really enjoyed our hub max. I like that it provides security while away from home. It also shows me the view from my nest door bell and flood light cameras. I like that is gives me options to make video calls and watch YouTube. It’s also convenient for recipes as we keep our max in the kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

Really cool addition to the home. The Hub Max impressed me with its functions to help around the house, letting me use my Google Assistant hands-free. It unites the family (once everyone with a Gmail is set up) quite neatly. I would recommend thinking of it as a central command post for the whole family if you're wondering how it works with apps. So not so much as a stationary tablet. The sound when playing music is not so bad at all. It has plenty of volume, but not to be confused with a stereo that will rattle windows. Just enough to fill the room and surrounding areas with ambient sounds. It will also serve as a picture display once you set up which pictures you desire or picture in general if left at the default setting. One really cool feature is being able to ask it to find something or somewhere, and then sending results to your phone once you are out and about so you have the info readily available on the fly. And it recognizes everyone independently which is awesome!

This is a great product! I have had it since Christmas and it is working flawlessly. I love how it displays the Alarms and even plays Youtube TV with rewind and fast forward buttons. Time and Temperature, is displayed. Also, Google cameras are displayed as well.
