Q: I have a Dell XPS 8950 with this monitor. When I plugged in using hdmi to displayport, the monitor turns to black and back on repeatedly every hour. Not sure if this is a monitor, cable or other issue

A: If your MacBook comes with either a VGA or HDMI video output, you can directly connect it with a VGA or HDMI cable. If you've got a different kind of video output (like DisplayPort or USB-C) you'll need an adapter to go from the port to an HDMI cable that plugs into the monitor.

There are so many things I love about this monitor (e.g., easy to set up, sleek, works well with my existing computer, etc.), but my favorite thing is how light weight it is! I have the monitor on a small desk and it works wonderfully! The only negative is that the resolution is not as clear as my Mac (I currently use the monitor as the second screen). That being said, I do find that it is easy on the eyes. I also think the screen size is PERFECT! Overall, great product!

I bought the HP M27fe 27" Full HD IPS Computer Monitor to hook up to my laptop. Now mine has an HDMI port so I would definitely research that before purchasing. I'm not very tech savvy at all and it was super easy to hook up. Literally 4 steps! I love the slimness of this monitor and that is has no borders. The picture is bright, clear and crisp and so far I am absolutely loving it! The only thing that I would change is that you can't adjust the height but honestly that hasn't been an issue for me at all. This is a great monitor for remote work, gaming and just every day use. I would definitely recommend this one!!

Like other reviews, the resolution of this monitor is on the lower end of the spectrum. Hardware-wise, this monitor is very slim and the no border is definitely a plus. I did read another user say that it hurt their eyes a little and I feel that is the same with myself. I will give this monitor more time to determine if I just need to find the right settings before I decide if I need to return it.

If you are not tech-savvy (like me) this is the monitor for you! Incredibly easy 4-step set up and incredibly easy to use. If you are hooking this up to a laptop that does not have an HDMI port, you will need some means of hooking that up.
