I like the sausage but I’m frustrated because there is no best buy date printed on the package. I had to throw it out because it says use within 3 days or freeze for 30 but I couldn’t remember when I bought it.

I usually get the mild sausage in casings for my "lentils and sausage" love the flavor. So I saw this in the display case, and thought " Ohhhh that has got to be good". So. I bought some. it was MORE than GOOD, it was awesomely better than cut up links. A tasty bite of sausage in every spoonful of lentils....yeah, I am not ashamed to admit I ate TWO bowls! Shared some with my Senior Citizen neighbors, and they loved it too. Went to the store, got another package and made a whole 'nother potful. And eating some of that tonight. I don't think I will go back to the cased sausages for my Lentils!

I don't buy Italian sausage at my supermarket because it is way too fatty. This sausage surprised me. It smells like fresh sausage with just the right amount of seasoning. The thing that really surprised me is the low amount of fat in the sausage. I actually had to add olive oil while browning it off. I will definitely purchase this again.

I always used this for my slow cooker lasagna but the last two times I made it the sausage was super spicy. Ruined my lasagna for my family. Very sad. Wondering if Johnsonville changed their sausage recipe recently.

My husband and I use this sausage in pasta dishes primarily, but I also use it in a breakfast casserole I make during the holidays. No other Italian sausage I've used has the depth of flavor of Johnsonville; the spices are not overwhelming but the clear taste of Italian sausage comes through, without a fatty aftertaste. There's no other sausage we use!

I love this product. I have used it in chili, with gnocchi, as a replacement for sausage in stroganoff, in minestrone, in porcupines, just about anywhere. It is delicious and adds flavor to everything. I am so grateful to Johnsonville for giving me an opportunity to try their product!

I love this sausage! It has a fresh taste and the perfect flavor, and I love that it's all natural. It's great when used by itself or when mixed with ground beef. This is a great product, and Johnsonville is a great company. I love their other products too, like the hot and sweet Italian sausage and the New Orleans-style andouille sausage. No reason to buy any other brand of sausage again! :)

I REALLY appreciate this all natural sausage. I have to tell you though, I must be blind as a bat! I had been looking and looking for this product. Finally I asked at the meat counter. Guess what? It was right there, top shelf next to the links! The butcher said that they had been carrying it for several months. I am glad I asked! Thanks for a great product without preservatives.
