Cap is excellent in preventing my liquids from leaking. Received the Wide-Mouth Insulated Coffee Mug as a gift with the original lid but often forgot to check that the lid was secure which often resulted in a soaked tote bag. So glad there are interchangeable lids!

Anytime I can get all metal contact I take it. This new twist design is great however.... Make sure you put it on tight. A couple of times I thought I had a bad seal. But nope I wasn’t putting it on tight enough. I use my Kanteen as a protein shaker. And lots of product was splashing and leaking out after I opened the cap. Doesn’t happen any more after I made sure lid was tight. Thank again Klean Kanteen you never fail to amaze me with your products.

Am I the only person who does not care for this cap? I absolutely adore the TK Wide bottle, but this cap does not do it for me. It’s squeaky when I open and close the lid, and definitely not leakproof. I only use this bottle at home, because my drinks will spill when traveling. I like the handle though.

It's nice that at least the Wide does have a 'seal repair kit' available, so that you don't have to just biff the whole nice thing. I still have one and use it plenty. But the new lid is much nicer! The handle with can so easily be tucked out of the way is so nice as well.
