A: Hey Megan, CLEANSE, EXFOLIATE, AND SHAVE before application, wash skin with lukewarm water so that the pores can close. Spend a little more time exfoliating where your skin is thickest.

I've been using L'Oreal self-tanning products for years.. I've always had great results. However I bought the L'Oreal sublime bronze self tanning water mousse. At first it used to spray out foamy and then it stopped spraying out the foam and it was just really like water. I know it says water mousse but I expected it to be like a mousse. I still have a quarter of the bottle left but not sure how well it will really work if it doesn't spray out with the mousse effect. Please let me know what you think. Thanks

The best affordable self tanner I’ve used! Like someone else mentioned, it doesn’t have the color guard effect so I just really make sure I am putting it everywhere. It doesn’t stain your sheets or clothes at all, I barely wait to put on some loose fitting pajamas (lol cuz I self tan at night so I can sleep in it and wake up to shower). It also smells very nice, kind of coconut-y. Big fan!! Have been for years.

This tanner is fantastic. There is no color guard but it is still easily applied with a mitt. Since it has no guard you will never stain sheets or clothing with this. It does not come out streaky, and I have had no issue with uneven application. You just have to be slightly more diligent and mindful when applying, but being able to put on any clothes you like make it very worth it. Also the scent is pleasant to me and I’m honestly sensitive to perfumes. I actually have grown to like it. No fake tan smell.

It’s such a bummer cause I really like the results of this particular self tanner, but it’s probably not suited for sensitive skin or people with eczema. I had rashes and itchiness for months before I found out this was causing it.

Being in my 30s and knowing how important skin protection is, self tanner is my best friend during summer to give myself a nice glow. The color this gives is very natural and you can build up to a deeper tan. I use a tanning mitt to apply it and it goes on smoothly.

I have never written a review for any product in my life. This self tan is $11 and the best product I have ever used. I have used everything from Jergens to St. Tropez and beyond. There is no product that compares to this one. I have probably gone through over 40 bottles in the past 4 years I've been using it. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING IT'S SPLOTCHY ARE NOT APPLYING IT RIGHT. Leaves my skin silky smooth. Nice tan, lasts about a week before it starts looking funky unless you sweat in it the first day. Use one layer. It smells nice, feels sticky for a couple hours, but you get used to that after the first time. Only leave for like 15 minutes before you can put your clothes back on.

There's barely any color almost none on my legs even after multiple applications. Not what you would expect from a product that says medium bronze. What color I do have is so splotchy and not even at all. I would not recommend this product at all and will not purchase again.

I have been using this tanner for a couple of years, and I really like it! I am on the pale side, and I have to be careful on my hands and feet, but overall it gives me a great tan that doesn’t look orange. It doesn’t feel too sticky while drying, and I haven’t had any transfer issues even when I apply it before bed.
