Zero stars for this mascara. This new formula is terrible. I had been using the old formula for 15+ years and now I have to switch brands. The new formula is not washable! I can’t even get it off easily with makeup remover. I do not recommend this product. I’m very disappointed since the old formula was perfect.

I’ve been buying this product for 5+ years. Was my absolute favorite mascara. L’Oreal has ruined this product with the change in formula. It burns anytime my eyes are even a bit moist. If it gets on my finger tips and I even graze my eyelid it kills. What have you done? Originally thought my hand soap was the issue since I’ve been using this mascara everyday for years, but nope. I’ve never reacted to any makeup before, this is a toxic product and should be taken off the shelves immediately since I see that there are many others reacting the same way and plenty more that haven’t posted about this. I definitely won’t be buying anymore l’oreal products in the future seeing as how they value customer safety. You’ve definitely lost my business.

What happened to this A+, 10/10, greatest mascara on the planet?! I have used this product for well over 20 years and ever since that new bottle showed up, the formula is way off. It doesn’t wash off with soap and water like it used to. You have to use make up remover to get it off. It’s so heavy and clumpy now that it makes my eyes irritated by the end of the day. My eye lashes aren’t as healthy as they used to be. As a lifelong loyal customer, I’m devastated. I can’t find the old bottles anywhere and would pay double just to have that again! I’d give anything for the people at L’Oréal to go back to the original formula.

Having green eyes burgundy is a color I use often. I love that there is an option other than black! It’s not obnoxious just a subtle coloring and enhances my eye color. This formula is a tried and true mascara so I already knew I liked it in black. Easy removal with makeup remover.

After L'Oreal discontinued their purple tube Voluminous Fiber Waterproof Mascara, I tried the Voluminous Original Waterproof. Huge disappointment! This mascara is not waterproof and comes out of the tube clumpy every time. Looking towards another cosmetic company for my mascara.

I have this product on auto order with a Vendor and have used 3 tubes. While I like the applicator and the consistency of the formula, it has been stinging my eyes out of the blue - without being messed with. This is supposed to be waterproof and suitable for sensitive eyes. It does smudge under my eyes. going to have to find another waterprrof for sensitive eyes as this is not it. Back to Maybelline I guess.

Voluminous in carbon black has been my go-to for years. I recently purchased the burgundy and it is a gorgeous shade. Unfortunately, the new formula is 100% terrible. It literally takes me ten minutes to apply the mascara to one eye alone. The formula is not nearly as thick and moist as before this reformulation. For now I am still using both the carbon black + burgundy, however, I am definitely on the hunt for a replacement brand. I gave two stars just because I really like both shades. If not for that, it would be a solid one star rating.

I buy this cobalt blue colored mascara, for the sheer effect of making my eyes look whiter. I just use some every day underneath my lashes and is close to my eye as I can. So one tube will last me a while. But it’s such a pretty blue if you were in funky mood, you could definitely do all your lashes that color.

I've used this mascara for 15+ years. I always got tons of compliments and shared it with others. The recent reformulation now makes it one of the WORST mascaras out. Do NOT buy . Horrible decision for whoever thought it needed to be changed

I wanted to like it but I’m allergic. I bought the burgundy color twice now and both times my eyes burned and got infected. The first time I thought it was from something else so I gave it a second chance about six months later. Same thing happened with the new tube. Needless to say I will not be purchasing a third time.

Reformulation sucks

I knew immediately the new tube i bought was a reformulated. This version was wetter, harder drying and made my lashes feel tight. It was hard to wash off. Not voluminous. Worst part my eyelids were swollen the next day. I have never reacted to this mascara in over the 20 years plus I've been using it. Loreal, please tell me why you would reformulated a good product. Leave it alone and create a anew version of the mascara instead. Now i have to hunt for a new brand. I see I'm not the only one complaining about the new formula. Loreal, you lost a loyal customer.

They've badly changed the formula on this!!!! Its made my eyelashes fall out, it goes on and stays wet, doesn't dry hard like mascara is supposed to, so when you try to build layers, it makes thick globs and then wheh you try to wash it off, it wont come off! This went from a great mascara just a month ago, to a product that Loreal really needs to look into and change. I wont be buying it anymore until I see it’s been relabeled letting us know “original fornula is back”. Just be honest about the whoops to let us original formula fans know and we’ll come back L’Oréal. Really sad since I always felt they had a softer mascara than their main competitor, with better ingredients in their formula but now its too soft and damaging to lashes

I am 64 yrs young and have been a diehard fan of this mascara since I was 19 years old. What in Gods name have you done to the formula?? 2 coats of this mascara would last all day long or all night long. Now I put a 2nd coat on and it immediately balls up on the end of my lashes when it dries. What a shame. I guess I’ll try Maybelline 😞
