A:Â Hi Kenya- The hex bolts used to secure the glass to the Portland Computer Desk are M6x22 and M6x25. To view images of them, check out the assembly manual on the Ameriwood Home site. At the bottom of the home page, click on Assembly Manual Search and enter 9393096. The parts you are looking for are labeled numbers 1 and 2.

Q: How much weight does each individual section of the desk hold? In the details it states, "Holds up to: 60.0 Pounds." Is this across the entire desk or per section?

I love the way the glass looks. What I disliked is that in step 3 of the instructions it says not to tighten the blots but then when putting on the angled piece I had to tighten them because it wouldn’t have made sense to not tighten them until 2 steps later. So if you buy this tighten the blots as you go.

This desk was pretty simple to put together, my husband and I were able to do it in under an hour. It has lots of surface space which is nice and doesn’t have a bunch of drawers and stuff which allows you to get creative and personalize your space to fit your needs. Works great for me with college and doing bills and other paperwork type stuff around the house. Seems to be very sturdy, I’ve had this for over a year now and haven’t had any issues with it. Definitely recommend!

Fairly easy to put together. Probably would have taken me less than 45 minutes by myself, however, one of the long skinny bars wasn’t threaded on one end. Fortunately my husband had a tap set to make the threading. Everything went together fairly easy and it looks nice in my boutique office. Obviously, with a glass top, you won’t be hiding any cables but it looks beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a classy, nice, inexpensive desk for their office space.

The desk is fine and not too hard to put together- about 20 minutes. Package missing set of screws meant to attach glass to desk. Called and they shipped them that day- no express available.. I think it works for me, but I disagree that it looks more expensive- it looks like a $100 desk.

The desk was not packaged well and the metal is thin. Therefore, one leg of the desk was damaged in shipment. In addition, one connector on the glass top had come off during transport. I called the company, Altra, and they could not send replacement parts, so I had to rebox all the parts and take it to the store to return it.

The desk looks expensive but did not cost too much. Putting it together was easy. There was one part that was a little damaged, but you can't see it. I like this desk over the other desks because it does not block your feet in the middle.
