My niece loves this game it teaches shapes and ABCs she said she wants to play it all day so I think that’s a great indicator. It doesn’t come with batteries for the controller so please be aware.

My son loves this game! It's easy for him to play by himself. I wish the hookup was easier as you have to have the USB plugged in and the power cord I guess?

I typically do not let my 5-year-old play video games but I found this on clearance at my local Target and decided to get it. I like that it’s age appropriate and not overstimulating. It’s very simple to navigate and engaging.

First time my child used the game he played for 2 hrs, and have played 30 minutes to an hour daily since. This game challenges him to connect the dynamics in multifaceted ways increasing his comprehension of the concepts.
Absolutely love it.

Good screen time option. My 4 year old enjoyed it because its similar to another platform game he loves, just more educational. Unfortunately in every area its just the same game over and over again so he eventually got bored of it. I wish each area had a different game activity to keep the little minds intrigued.
Great for price

So for starters, I bought this for my 2.5 year-old. I am aware the age range is from 3 to 6. I tend to buy toys that are an older range to give my child more variety and that will last us longer. That being said my score has nothing to do with what my child can’t do because of his age. The pros of this game is bright colors, and the large remote being very simplistic. It is very easy. My two-year-old can press the buttons and understand what he’s pressing very simple. I like that the options when you go to exit the game, you have to click yes and confirm but the TV says to you out loud “yes or no and try again”. Easy enough for my child to understand it, (in another six months), my child (due to age) gets a little more dependent on this game he will be able to understand what he’s doing a little better. I also love that there is something on this game called the learning center where you (or your child) can click individual letters, numbers, shapes, or colors (whatever category you want to be in) and they will tell you exactly what those are . There is no game, you are strictly learning. so if you click the letter A it will tell you “A is for Apple”and so on. I also love that as the levels go on the difficulty goes up. You learn to double jump to get two higher platforms when you’re playing or learn to duck because something is flying around above you. It is not the same skill level for each level. So it is something your child can also build up to. Now the cons. For starters the sensor on it in my opinion, seems to be very finicky. The remote has to be facing straight towards the TV so you can’t be at an angle at all. So we have one spot on the couch without our system is set up that works perfectly. Every other seat is kind of iffy. But again for 25 bucks that’s not bad. My other thing that I’ve noticed is all the games are the same. So you’re constantly playing the same thing it just changes category so the goal of the game is to rescue what they call keys to go back to some castle. So you’re basically collecting squares and you’re going through a map each time. Very similar to super Mario Bros, where you have different maps and different courses collecting coins but you’re basically doing the same thing each time. I expected different games for different categories. Not the end of the world because again the game console is $25 so there’s not really much room to pitch a fit. But that being said, I would think that an older child (5 or 6 range) would find it very tedious because you’re doing the exact same thing every time. Would I buy it again? Yes because again it’s $25 and it’s keeping my child busy and it gives us something to do together, to laugh at together, to communicate, and talk together. I would also just keep some of those things in mind but for the price it’s a great deal and it’s something that is not a full on tablet because we are a no tablet household. This is something that I can turn on and off on my command , and I’m not just handing him an iPad where he gets sucked in. It is something that we use on our main TV where we can use it as a reward system to play or just something to do together
Great Toy.

My 4 year old loves this. We're a family of gamers and she always wants to watch or play. Most games are too difficult for her and a friend suggested this and it has been a hit! After maybe an hour (not straight through, she took breaks) she had the basics down. I love that it's simple, the educational aspect, and the little review area. She repeats the numbers, letters, sounds, counts the space sides, etc along with the animation. I just love to sit next to her and watch her play. It's like how she would sit and watch me play animal crossing when she was a baby ❤️

My 4.5 yo son really enjoys playing this age appropriate video game. This is his first experience with video games and I like that it's simple enough but provides tactile feedback in the controller vs a flat touch screen.
