This bleach party unicorn hair from lime crime comes with bleach developer and gloves, so pretty much you have to buy a mixing bowl separate because it doesn’t come with the box. Other than that it does lighten your hair depending on what color you have like. If you have color on your hair, it does take the color off, so it works well.

My hair is shoulder length and naturally dark brown to almost black. This #40 bleach party did a phenomenal job turning my hair to a blonde / yellow color. Obviously, I did my roots last since the roots take on the mixture very quickly . That is with any bleaching brand however... My scalp is sensitive, so days after the bleaching and dye job my scalp was very itchy, sensitive to touch, tight feeling, and felt like welts were in certain spots unfortunately :( I really wish a good conditioner would have accompanied the bleach party and or even the full coverage 'moshi' dye color which I also purchased. This was my second time using Lime Crime color. The first time the color didn't take at all because I never bleached my hair... (Surprisingly, the 'mochi' color which is a lavender hue didn't take well at all even with my hair bleached as well) :( My hair turned a brassy / almost highlighted red and light brown shade. I will not ever use this product again. Good luck to those who may still try it.

I've used lots of box bleaches in my years but first time using Lime Crime. I got the 20vol and 40vol and both have worked amazingly. Usually i have to bleach my roots twice even though my hair is fair it will never go lighter than pale yellow, but with this it actually went white. Just had to leave on a bit longer with the 20vol and achieved the perfect base for Lime Crime unicorn colours. You also get a lot of product so I stupidly mixed up the whole lot and wasted half of it so only mix what you need and save the rest.
Easy to use for teens.

I've messed up bleach before, so I was very hesitant to use this, but I'm glad I did. It took my box brown, some remnants of who only knows what, and got me back to a light blonde brown. My crown & ends were lighter,and it gave me a safe base for something new. 100% would use again, but I'd buy less. I have waist length thick hair & barely used 1.5 boxes (but mixed up 3)

I love this product. It’s the only bleach I’m sticking to. I bought this once for my roots (I’m platinum blonde in the front) and I used 20 vol. it works fast and easy you don’t have to worry about the ugly yellowish crap on your hair it’s literally perfect. My natural hair is brown, so when I dyed my roots as a touch up for platinum, it came out that exact color (matched) oh and my hair was super soft too. I have curly hair btw. Like 3c hair <3

It did an okay job of bleaching my dark blonde hair, but didn't remove any of the red dye that was in parts of my hair...so the blue and green hues over the top look a little weird.

I followed the instructions, using the formula prescribed for my natural color, separating my hair into sections, waiting to do the hair closest to the roots last but avoiding my scalp, etc., and the end result was ok but not ideal. First off, it'd be nice if the kit included everything you need (ie: mixing bowl, applicator). Second, I kept the bleach approx. 1 inch away from my scalp as instructed, however, unlike the instructions indicated, the bleach did not expand to reach that hair and therefore, the hair closest to my scalp did not get nearly as light as the rest. I was lightening my hair to color it a bright color, so it turned out pretty good in the end, but if I had just wanted it blonde/platinum, I would've been pretty bummed.

I still had some of my teal color from the last time I had dyed my hair. It took it out with no problem! Plus, my hair didn’t feel like it was fried straw. I still have some left over for whatever I need to do any touch ups. I’ll definitely get this again!
