Melissa & Doug Dinosaur Party Play Set - 9 Collectible Miniature Dinosaurs in a Case

My son loved the set but the velvet was pealing off after 1 day of play. They felt so cheaply made and are now being thrown away after 2 months of use.

My son has had these dinos for 2 days. Other than absolutely loving to play with them, he has used them normally (no tub or anything). The flocking is already peeling off!

They feel super cheap and the plastic ties holding Dino’s in place ended up damaging them

I bought it for a Christmas gift. The plastic was damaged on the front and the way it was packaged made it look like it had been used.

It’s a great gift for kids although the toys do feel a little cheap. They seem to be very weak. They have overviews for each of the dinosaurs on the back of the case which are a nice touch.

We purchased 2 of these sets for our grandson to use with the Dinosaur rug. At 23 mo. he is just beginning to have the dinosaurs interact with each other - so cute. He loves the "fuzzy" feel to them - so different than the other dinosaurs he has in the bathtub. My husband and I enjoyed reading about each dino and we are saving the display boxes to put into his room when he is a little older.

I like the soft design and less scary look of the dinosaurs, but they're very light and easily knocked over. I wish they were a bit more substantial. Also, the box is nice for packaging but hard to store unless it's laid down, else all the dinosaurs will fall out.

Awesome gift for the dinosaur lover. It really helps them learn the names and people will be impressed. 2nd set bought. 1st for my son and now my nephew.

Love these but like another post, we got duplicates.

We've bought several other M&D toys before and love everything about them, but we're really disappointed by the quality of the materials used in the two toys we bought today, including this one. Hollow, thin, plastic figures covered by felt (albeit brightly colored and realistic looking and they do come in a sturdy wooden display box!) Really? We doubt these will last the rigors of active toddler play; they're too light and flimsy and are likely to be destroyed in a short time. Not at all what we expected from a M&D product! Going to be returning them and exchanging them for some more robust - preferably made from wood or something solid.

The dinosaurs are cute and appropriate for children but the covering the on dinosaurs, as noted in other reviews, is not especially durable and can rub off. I would expect a better overall product from Melissa and Doug but, provided one knows what to expect, it's a reasonable product.

I gave to this as a gift for a 3rd birthday party. I can't directly review how fun it is to play with, because I haven't played with it. And I wouldn't have quite the same age perspective. But it looks like good quality, and I think it will be enjoyed.

I love Melissa & Doug products but this is the first product that was a huge disappointment. The dinosaurs have a felt like fabric covering plastic. Every single dinosaur peeled immediately just a few minutes after opening the box. I think this product would be great if it didn't have the felt covering on the dinosaurs.

9 dinosaurs for a great price durable and well-crafted. My nephew was in love with his dinosaur and case.

Very cute and good size. These are not hard and softer compared to other figurines. My son was happy with them. They do look like they may break easy and they had rubber bands attaching them to the signs that say the name of each. The rubberbands did leave imprints on a few of them. They are big enough for a child not to choke and if they throw them they would not injure. Would be cute as party favors or for a teacher to give out. Great for speech therapy also, to learn colors and talking.

This is not a play set - the material used on the dinosaurs is not appropriate for children to "play with." At first use one of the dinosaurs cheap covering came off and rubbed off on my child.
