I really like this gel. Despite all the recent controversy with Mielle, this product has worked well for me. I have tried numerous gels and hair mousse from other companies, but this one is my favorite so far. I have fine type 4 hair and this seems to moisturize and provide hold without feeling sticky. I paired this with the Mielle Avocado hair milk and did not experience any flaking. It provides a decent amount of hold and seems to prevent excessive frizz. The ginger scent is strong upon an initial application, but on day two it was barely noticeable.

Read in a comment that this product was good for 3C hair and I second that! I like the smell, texture and hold provided which then turns into soft waves/ curls. Great product when applied on wet/ damp hair.

These people through all my products into a box with no bubble wraps or packaging whatsoever. I order about 12 products and all of them were leaking and broken. They have yet to respond to my inquiry for a refund.

I hated gels, all of them! This one here changed my mind. It SMELLS GREAT! It also pairs well with all my other products for my wash n gos and never leaves it crunchy. I use one pump and make it stretch. Definitely adds definition and keeps the hair protected from humidity. Worth the money!!

Purchased this product about a month ago and finally decided to try it and omg I love it. I have type 4a hair and at first I was not seeing alot of curl definition but I just kept applying and left it to dry and omg I am in love with this product! It's moisturizing and gave me great definition and a medium hold!

I always stay away from finishing products containing glycerin. Glycerin usually doesn't work well in my hair. I do love some of the other ingredients so I thought I'd give it a try. I have been wearing it under flaxseed gel and so far, so good.

It took me a bit to figure out how to effectively use this product to avoid flaking or buildup. I rinse my hair everyday in between shampoos and then apply my pomegranate leave in conditioner, then the curl smoothie and then the ginger gel. I have short hair and like to see curl definition and this does the trick. Although my hair is not shiny, when I touch my hair, I can see there is plenty of oil on my hair. My hair is left soft and my curls hold all day. I love the definition of my curls. I hope when summer comes, I don’t attract bees!

I loved it! I used it for my wash and go and my hair looks great and I did not experience that much shrinkage, while also not weighing my hair completely down. It is honestly the product I've been searching for, and I can't wait to continue using it to see if it will continue to be loved by me.

Shocked by the recent reviews becuase I just used this last night on top of the SheaMoisture Coconut Curl Smoothie and I experienced ZERO flakes. This also has hold comparable to Wetline. Similar to Wetline it is somewhat drying so make sure you apply a moisturizing leave-in and a good amount oil before styling and afterwards make sure you have some kind of hydrating oil mist to add some moisture and sheen. Otherwise, the definition again was comparable to Wetline except I experienced somewhat less shrinkage with this product. My curls are popping and I'm confident this will hold for at least 3 days. Its 7pm now and my curls look about the same as it did 12 hours ago (although somewhat dry by now). Beware that the Ginger scent is pretty strong when first applying, but it dissipates. I actually like the smell of Ginger so it didn't bother me much. For the record, I have very thin, fine wavy/curly hair. This product is a keeper!
