Q: Why is this priced like a value pack of 8 burgers when it's only the regular pack of 4? This should be closer to $4.

submitted by Jellyn - 8 months ago
  • A: The pricing appears to be fixed!

Q: Can you microwave these veggie burgers?

submitted by kathy - 3 years ago
  • A: You can, but they'll be soggy. I usually microwave for a minute to get it warm, then finish it up in the toaster oven on foil or in a hot pan for texture.

Seriously gross now! I haven’t had one since the 1990’s when they were awesome. It’s so mushy I don’t even know how you make a patty out of it!

I first had these 20-ish years ago and quickly became addicted to the bouncy texture and bits of water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peppers. After too much of a good thing and then taking a long break from them, I tried them again. They weren't quite as I remembered, leaving me wondering if the recipe had changed. The taste is close enough but the vegetable bits seem smaller and the patties seem to fall apart more easily, with less bounce. Sure enough, other reviewers have mentioned the same. I will still take these over fake meat patties, but prefer the old version.

Used to be a great quick lunch. Hadn't had in a little while so bought some yesterday. Just had one for lunch & they are gross. Mushy & tasteless! I will be returning them to the store today. Don't know why you would change the recipe so drastically?

Convenient & Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these! They come 4 in a pack, which is a plus for the price. They are very convenient to cook too... I just threw them in a saute pan with a little oil and seared them on both sides for a few minutes. They are a little on the thin side so if you like thick, you might want to double them. They don't taste like a burger would, they have a veggie taste, but very natural and good. I have tried other plant based products and hated them! These are a must have in our household for quick and easy dinner meals. They are on the softer side, which my family doesn't mind.. I just sear them a little longer to get a crunch on the outside. We like the garden veggie, but our favorite is the spicy black bean.

I have had these veggie burgers for lunch for a couple years now. I loved them. But they recently changed the recipe and they are terrible now. I'm so disappointed. I wish they would go back to the old recipe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve long been a fan of the morning star farms garden veggie burgers. I like the new packaging. Being resealable should help prevent any freezer burn or flavors compared to the old plastic two-packs. My preferred method of cooking is to heat up a little bit of oil on a pan and put a nice crispy golden sear down before lowering and cooking. It’s a perfect meal or snack, and I appreciate going veg sometimes.

I have been enjoying the Veggie burgers for probably 20 years- until now! Not sure why the recipe was changed, but they are disgusting now- they are mushy, and taste weird. Time to find a new brand!

Tasty and Calorie Appropriate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the fact that each patty is only 100 calories. It makes me feel good eating this veggie burger and being able to top it how I want without worrying. The veggie burgers are easy to cook either in the microwave or stove top which is convenient to have a couple of options. The taste of them is pleasant as well. I personally seasoned my patty with spices in order to add some extra flavor to my full meal. I would buy these again and recommend them to my friends.

Plant based protein

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Morning star farms garden veggie burger patties are a great meatless option. Has 10g protein. 100 calories each. 79 pct less fat than regular beef patties. I made it on the skillet, just 7-8 mins of prep time and enjoy delicious meatless burgers. You can also make it on a grill. The burgers are a great replacement of beef burger patties.

I like it and much less fat than most other brand

I started consuming MorningStar products after more than a decade. At my local store, I looked around and compared this with other brands and found that it had least fat content (w/ 0 Saturated fat), sodium and no cholesterol. I simply microwave patty (90s) on a covered plate so that patty remains soft. Next, I absorb the moisture with fresh paper towel, before I add it to my sandwich. A patty as snack, with some spicy sauces spread on the top, is not a bad idea too. I hope these patties will help me keep my LDL low.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I not only use it as a burger, but I use it for wraps, sandwiches and salads. It is a great protein to add when you are plant based. The taste is good and what I love the most is the texture. For technically a buck a piece, it is worth it and affordable.
