What happened to the real stuff? I have used this stuff religiously most of my life for cleaning... Pretty much everything including very high end expensive leather, very delicate and ornate hand crafted furniture, fake leather, tiles, car interiors, stall doors... You name it, even stains on laundry. BUT this new formula is an incredible disappointment and you changed the smell! Now, I'm not saying it smells bad, but it is different and too chemically and strong. Please please please bring back the good stuff. I won't be buying anymore after this until it changes. Very sad. Why mess with a good thing?

Bad deal changing the ingredients

What happened to the original ingredients where it says water, coconut and plant derived cleaning ingredients? Looks to me like you have loaded it up instead with harmful chemicals. I went to replace my large bottle as I am almost out only to find some other label which confused me enough to look into what has changed. I use this product to clean my oil painting brushes and now it looks like other people are also giving this bad reviews for changing the original formula. Now I will not purchase this product again. I will look for an alternative that is natural.

This will sound crazy, my dog was having accidents in the house went into the grout on my tile, I was washing a comforter at the laundromat having a discussion with the lady of course women are better at these things, she told me to put the Murphy's soap in my mouth water and it would get rid of the dog pee smell. It absolutely did 100% it could not believe it
Best stuff ever

I’ve used Murphy’s oil soap since I was a kid on my leather for my horses tack. Now that I am an adult, I use it exclusively on the wood in my house. It is the most unbelievable cleaner that doesn’t dry things out and make them gross and brittle.

I have loved this product for years. I think the fragrance is so nostalgic. Even my adult son breathes in deeply when he comes home and says it smells like home. It cleans well and leaves no film. I use less than directions and a little goes a long way.

It is great for cleaning my kitchen cabinets and ceramic tile. Great smell and my hands don’t feel dry and itchy after use.
Bring back “The Original”

Bring back the original! The new scent is an ASSAULT on the senses- to the point of being noxious; and difficult to clean per instructions, (for someone with decades of experience with this particular product) leaving streaks on every surface using Berkey water filtration for dilution. I did a side by side comparison with “the original” formula to satisfy my own curiosity, and the streaking said it all. Why ruin a good thing? It’s a shame to see good products ruined with cheap ingredients. And to be gaslit with the “original” being branded up front and center on the label… come on.

I have been a loyal customer all my life and this product has been a staple in my cleaning routine. It is the only thing I’ve ever used to clean a variety of wood in my home that worked well. Nothing else even came close. To say I’m upset is an understatement. I bought the “new and improved” formula because I had to and I’m sorry to say it’s not as good as it used to be. Moreover, because the formula has been modified, I was left scrambling to find something that remotely compared, and to date nothing has worked I understand that businesses have the right to make these decisions, but modifying a product that so many people rely on doesn’t seem like a choice made with customer satisfaction in mind. For many of us, finding something that works isn’t just a matter of preference, it’s about protecting family heirlooms. And now, I’m stuck with nothing but subpar options, frustrated at the lack of consideration for loyal customers. I strongly urge you to reconsider your decision to change the formula or, at the very least, offer both options for customers who must now struggle to find an alternative. I am incredibly disappointed, and I can only hope that you listen to the many voices of customers who are equally dissatisfied.

I’ve used this product for decades and LOVE the scent. I can see no difference with the formula, it still works great and smells so fresh, to me!
Amazing on laundry stains!!!

Awesome stain remover for laundry. Just rub onto stain ( fresh or set in for a long time and won't come out ) let set a few minutes add some water, hot or cold doesn't seem to matter, scrub the material together and toss into washer. It removed motor oil and axel grease from my husband's khaki colored pants, got stains out of grandsons basketball jersey and turned it from dingy off white to bright white again with no stains. Sweat stains from armpits that were dried in are completely gone. I'm a firm believer in using Shout on laundry stains if they're fresh but I have to say that Murphy's works better and it can be a set in stain. Has not faded any of our clothing so far. I had an old bottle that was at least 7 years old and looked like syrup, not sure if it was just because it was so old but it was darker and thicker than my new bottle but both have worked equally as well on my laundry. I have also used it to take water ring stains off of polished wood furniture. Simply use your finger and rub full strength onto water stain working in small circles and then wipe off with damp rag. You do have to repolish your furniture afterward but the whitish colored water ring from not using a coaster will be gone. Absolutely amazing product. My brother in law wants to try using it as laundry detergent it works so well.

I had blobs of sap from my Christmas tree on my new vinyl plank flooring and I was worried! I found a review that said Murphy Oil Soap would remove it so I gave it a try. I first put a small puddle on a scrap piece of flooring for a few hours and it did no damage, so I figured I was safe. I used a spoon to put a puddle on each blob of sap, waited about 5 minutes and the soap / sap came right off with a paper towel! I washed the whole floor with Ecolab Neutral floor cleaner and the floor looks great! (My flooring is a Shaw vinyl plank floor).

Most of my wood furniture has been in storage while I was living out of country. Used Murphys oil on many wood pieces (rocking chair, hand made table, etc) and they are gorgeous again!
