Q: Can this be used in the AM and then use the Glycolic acid at night?

submitted by Dee - 28 days ago
  • A: Hi there! Both the Vegan Lactic Acid Emulsion 5% and Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Gel 10% may be used morning or evening. We suggest starting out with one product a few times a week until your skin is acclimated to the individual formula before introducing the other product. Once your skin is adjusted you may use the Lactic Acid Emulsion in the morning under sunscreen and the Glycolic Acid Gel in the evening as tolerated. Be sure to listen to your skin and adjust as needed. Don’t forget to use your sunscreen during the daytime!

Gentle, effective, barrier safe

This is a really wonderful gently exfoliant I was damaging my barrier with a potent glycolic acid and my skin was so irritated, dry, and breaking out. This helps my skin be smooth, bright, but does not irritate me or dry me out. The bisabolol is ultra soothing. I am quite impressed using 2-3 times per week.

Dupe for Good Genes

I have used this for months now. I use 2x a week in the mornings after the peptide serum & before sunscreen. I absolutely love this formulation. I love the emulsion type serums over the more liquid types. It’s not drying & doesn’t irritate my skin. I can’t tolerate glycolic acid. This is a gentle exfoliating treatment that won’t rip your face up. I would consider it a dupe for the Sunday Riley Good Genes.

Too Strong

I patch tested this on my inner arm, and brown spots began to appear. I wasn't sure if this was the causal factor, so I tested it on my other arm. Same thing. Small brown spots began to appear where I placed the product. I couldn't find anything on line that explained this phenomenon, so I'm presuming it is too strong. If anyone has seen anything like this, please post a comment!

This is a great Lactic acid. It's a light gel and it's mild enough not to sting. I can feel a little but not too much.

I was recommended this product by my aesthetician to help with texture. I have been very happy with the results and can feel the difference the next day every time I use it before bed.

I use this stuff on my neck and chest nightly. I can’t use it on my face cause it leaves a “slight” oily feel and it will break me out. I continued to use this on my neck and chest and it has took some discoloration away on my chest 👍🏼

I can’t even buy this because it just has to have niacinamide like everything else. It’s so ridiculous. This serum has such great gentle ingredients for sensitive skin. Why add something that so many people can’t tolerate and is already in everything else???

I like this lactic acid formulation. It’s gentle, simple and works well. I’ve had no irritation from this at all, which is a first for me using a lactic acid product. I also really appreciate that it’s fragrance free and doesn’t contain any citrus fruit extracts, which tend to irritate my sensitive skin. Thanks Naturium!

Very good product! Skin feels very smooth and soft after use. Really like it. Only wish naturium would do more skin routine videos with lactic acid, and explain more with which products it can be use and with which it absolutely can not

This stuff is great! I use it now about every other day either in my AM or PM wash. It tingles a bit, but it feels nice! I notice my face looks brighter and not as dull. I love to use this after washing with my Natrium Greens face wash or the Fermented Rice Face wash. I let the tingle wear off a bit and then follow up with my Natrium mouisturizer and SPF. :)

I have sensitive skin but wanted to try skin cycling. I’d heard that lactic acidosis is the way to go for sensitives. It works really well and is surprisingly gentle!

Wanted to love it, had a reaction

I really wanted to love this. My skin is pretty sensitive. With lactic acidosis being generally gentler of an exfoliant, and this being 5% I was hopeful it would work, but I had a reaction that puffed my eyes up and itched horribly, even though I didn’t apply this to my eyes. The texture is nice, might work for other people. If you are prone to sensitivity, skip this one.

Right Percentage

Second purchase of this product. It really helps my skin with dark spots. I use it twice a week. It has the right amount of percentage of lactic. It feels creamy but not greasy at all. More of a whipped feeling. Need to use sseveral weeks to see a difference. Really like most of the products from this company. The percentage of specific ingredients are spot on. Plus, it is fragrance free which is a plus.

Hydrating. Calming. Nice consistency. Neutral smell. Can be combined with other acids without irritating my rosacea. Would recommend and buy again. The only thing I don’t like is that I won’t be able to get the last of product since the bottle can’t be opened.
