I read some customer reviews after buying the shampoo + conditioner that had said it caused hair loss. I had been losing tons and tons of hair daily — it was to the point that I even consulted my doctor out of concern — yet I just assumed it had been happening long before using this product. Shampoo can't make your hair fall out... right? Well apparently it can, and OGX once had a lawsuit against them for this very thing! Thinking that my shedding hair was attributed to weight loss or a possible hormonal change I just kept purchasing it. My hair was shiny and it smelled nice, so I went through three 25.4 FL bottles of this stuff. I switched to salon quality products about a month ago, which of course will be a step up from anything drugstore, but only just realized that my shower drains are clog-free. I can brush my hair without losing 1000 strands in one stroke. There are plenty of people who love this shampoo, although my experience is not unique. OGX's website sorts their reviews by rating so you'll see only the five star ones up top while reviews from people like me who were losing a wig-like quantity of hair are hidden away at the bottom. Food for thought.

I liked the Tea Tree Mint shampoo and conditioner at first - the shampoo made my hair and scalp feel really clean. But after using it for a while, it severely dried out my hair. The whole texture of my hair turned brittle, tangled and straw-like and my hairdresser asked why I suddenly had so many split ends and damage. She said it looked like I was using very high heat to style (I only air-dry my hair). I immediately threw these out and switched to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and my hair is now back to normal.

The smell is strong I like the smell some may not. I do not know how this had such good reviews this made my hair super tangled and felt very dry after. It did the opposite in what it claims.
