Definitely Smokey.
I like this coffee as it is very smooth. For me it does leave a little smokey aftertaste. I’ve never really liked a French roast but this I like.

Dark, Handsome, and Beautiful
Most days my beans are ground fresh. There are mornings though when an expedited cup of SF Bay goodness is most desirable. That's when I reach for the bag of already ground Organic French Roast. Its dark roasted chocolate and nutty tones along with being plenty strong with no bitterness make this ready-to-brew coffee my go-to whenever needing to get out the door quickly with some decent joe in hand.

Love your coffee!
I buy the Organic French Roast and the Organic Gorilla Decaf and blend them together because that way I only get half the caffeine and I'm still getting a great strength of flavor that is not bitter at all. Love both coffee flavors and strength.
