As a repeat customer, I must express my ongoing disappointment with the gates from this brand. Despite my initial hopes, I have consistently encountered issues with their durability, and the recurring problem of my cat easily bypassing the gate has become a frustrating and repetitive experience. One of the main reasons I sought out gates from this brand was to ensure the safety of my toddler. However, I have found that these gates break far too easily, leaving me dissatisfied with their overall quality. It is disheartening to invest in a product that fails to withstand the normal wear and tear of everyday use, especially in a busy household with an active child. Additionally, while I had initially hoped these gates would effectively keep my cat contained, I have consistently faced disappointment in this regard. Despite my repeated attempts, my agile feline companion easily bypasses the gate, rendering it ineffective as a pet barrier. This recurring issue has added to my frustration, as I had expected the brand to address this common concern and provide a solution that cat owners can rely on. She can just shimmy her body under the gate. Once she realized that, it was over.

This gate is not practical. You have to use two hands to use the gate. You have to hold the lock down and in a twisted position on one end and use your other hand to pull the gate. It would be a two person job if you used this gate to full width. Additionally, the gate leaves too much of a gap from the floor and I'm worried baby would fit under. Do NOT buy this brand!!

It was easy to install and works rather nicely. The bottom broke within a month, so high traffic opening and closing will not allow this to last. It’s not as tight if it’s extended the whole way so my youngest can crawl underneath. I’m going to try it on just a doorway in hopes it locks a little nicer in a shorter space. Unfortunately, don’t waste your money for this if you are looking for a long term and sturdy gate.

My dog chewed (or clawed) through the material within a week of me installing the gate. And I was only gone for 90 min so didn’t take him too long.

I have this one and a smaller one of the same style. Smaller one works great, this one struggles to retract. Not sure if it is an issue with the design in general or if it is just an individual gate issue, but all in all not happy with the purchase.
