Bought this thinking that I had finally found a surge-protector layout that would allow me to use ALL of the outlets, or at LEAST all three of the brick-type plugs that make up my work-from-home setup. Don't be fooled. The wider-spaced plugs are STILL not spaced far enough apart to be able to use all three, and plugging brick-type plugs into those outlets also interferes with the usability of the vertical row. Will someone PLEASE design a surge protector that is actually usable?

I’ve had a lot of issues with my surge protector. The first one went out after less than a year. Philips sent a new one, but it only last a few months.

This is the Perfect power strip. Plugs placed side by side fir transformer type plugs and then in a row for regular plugs. Then there are the 2 usb plugs. PERFECT!!!!!

If you have standard size plugs this layout is unnecessary and the added cost is not worth it. If you have a number of non-standard size plugs the spacing isn’t such that you can plug any more items in than a standard surge protector and so the cost is again, not worth it. Asinine plug layout that adds no real benefit.

I really like the Phillips 7 and 10 outlet power strips. With a lot of plug in spaces plus the two convenient USB plug ins I can organize my electronics with one power strip instead of a couple. Besides the surge protector the description includes a circuit breaker which my apartment building requires for all power strips and are sometimes hard to find. Plus it is shiny black and looks nice.

The Philips surge protector features 7 outlets with are set horizontal on one side and vertical on the other side. The outlets are spaced out enough to accommodate medium sized adapters. This make it easy to plug in adapters for laptop and other electronics. The surge protector is a REAL surge protector which protects devices from brownout, power surges, etc. The black color is nice because it makes the surge protector harder to see behind furniture and will not get that discolored look over time. The 2 USB ports are an added bonus and much needed. Highly recommend this Surge Protector.

Please please please check EVERY outlet before keeping. All my outlets works except for both my USB ones. I found this out after the return date so I can’t return. Had to buy usb extenders to connect my LED lights from my laptop.
