A: Hello Valued Customer, thank you for your question. A basement would not be a great location to install this antenna because the signals from over the air cannot travel underground. Placing the antenna in a higher location is always good, but not necessary. The most important thing is to have the front of the antenna facing in the direction of your broadcast towers. If your broadcast towers are facing north, and you have the antenna in a west facing window, then that will not really help. There are several websites online that will tell you where the broadcasting towers are. If you have a window that faces the same direction as your broadcasting towers, then that will be the best placement for you. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to respond or give us a call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483, and press option 4.
