Q: Will this antenna work for a Sony television made in the 1990s? It is not an HD, LED or a flat screen television
A: Hi, Motor City! Regarding your question about the Philips Traditional HD Passive Antenna - Black: A television made in the 1990's will not have a digital tuner for tuning into the DTV stations that have since taken over from the since depreciated analog signals. If you purchase a converter box as well, this would work however. I would recommend a new television for a clearer image and easier setup. Q: Do you need a universal remote with the rabbit ear antenna? I have Direct TV.

Q: I need to be clear on this. Can I plug this right into my HDTV or do I have to have a converter box?

Q: Does this need an attenae adapter? I purchased it but it does not screw into the attenae input on 4k lg tv. The attenae is too small to screw in
A: Hello Valued Customer, thank you for your question. We use the universal coax size for all of our antenna and should fit most TV's coax inputs. You may have to refer to your TV's manual to see if an adapter is needed.

Q: Does this have to sit next to a window? My TV is on the complete opposite side from the window and would need a very long cable if so which is not convenient.

Q: Hi, most report clearer reception and more channels when the antennae is placed closer to the window. My TV can't be moved and is about 18' from the nearest window, What should I do?
A: Hello Grandma J, thank you for your question. Since the coax cable is already attached to this antenna you would have to add a female coax coupler so you can add a longer coax cable to this antenna. Once add a longer coax you can then move it closer to your window.
