A: Thank you for your inquiry. PUR pitcher filters are rated for a life of 1-2 months/40 gallons of filtered water. Additionally, these filters are independently certified by NSF International (nsf.org) and WQA (wqa.org) to remove many contaminants. At this time, they are not rated for chromium and we cannot guarantee this substance will be removed. A: Thank you for your inquiry. PUR Water Filters do not carry a specific micron rating. The NSF International, an independent laboratory that tests and certifies our filters, does not establish a micron rating for carbon-based water filtration systems. However, NSF International has given all PUR Faucet Filters and Pitcher Filters a Class 1 designation for nominal particulate reduction. A claim of Class 1 particulate reduction means that the filter will reduce at least 85% of particles between 0.5 to greater than 1 micron size. I "downgraded" from the 30 cup dispenser because it was too difficult to clean. This one is tiny in comparison, but it's really easy to fill and clean. It's dishwasher safe and fits easily in the dishwasher. We refill ours multiple times a day, but it filters quickly and fits under the faucet no problem.

So happy to have found a pitcher that's short enough to fit in my small refrigerator! It works so easily. The spout opens automatically when the pitcher is tilted, and you can refill the pitcher without removing the whole lid. I had been buying flats of water bottles. This pitcher is going to save me a lot of money.

Lid doesn't fit so cannot refill water like older PUR pitchers. The hole at the top is useless because you can't even open it to refill.

Thank you for your review. The lid for this pitcher will not click into place but should fit securely on the top. We recommend waiting for the top reservoir to drain into the bottom of the pitcher before pouring. Additionally, this may be an indication that the pour tray is positioned backwards in the pitcher. If this is the case, we would recommend removing and turning the pour tray 180 degrees and reseating within the pitcher housing. We hope this is helpful. Good. Very small but fine. I like cold water so I was just using an iced coffee pitcher. I like the filter, easy to use just rinse off for 15 seconds. Twist in place, fill up pitcher twice, dump twice. Good to go. My only complaint is how small it is and all new plastic stuff tastes like plastic for the first few weeks but.... whatcan you do. I don't have any problems with the lid, you can just pour using a careful teapot method, put a thumb over it. I add a little water every time I fill up cuz it's small.

"I recently purchased the PUR 7c Pitcher Filtration System in Blue/White and I am extremely happy with my purchase. Has to be the worst desgned lid in the business. It always leaks, and I do not mean a drop or two. When I pour I pour over the kitchen counter so it is easier to clean up the mess.
