Q: Why isn't the material posted? It says it's caned. Caned usually refers to wood caning. But no mention is made that this is wood caning. Could it possibly be (perish the though!) *plastic* caning? How awful that would be!

There are some dark spots throughout the caning which makes me think it’s natural variation in the color (wood) rather than plastic that would be uniform in color. Either way, this is an exceptional value considering the $500 price tags I’ve seen on anything similar!

submitted byStephanie - 6 years agoTarget staff supportA: I think So. I have A queen but the holes didn’t line up so I just wedged it against the wall behind bed. It works fine and stays in place! You could maybe center your smaller bed frame in front of the headboard and try the same thing. I will suggest getting some stick on felt floor protectors to put in the back of the headboard in the places where it may be prone to hit your wall. Check the internet for lots of creative ways to make an ill fitting headboard work for your bed.
submitted byLB - 5 years agoA: I don't know if this will help, but I have a full size mattress, but it's on a queen size bed frame. I am thinking about ordering one of the queen sized headboards here but have not yet. I think they would attach to my bed frame because even though it's a queen size bed frame, it works with my full size mattress.

Q: how do you attach this to the box spring? can you post instructions to make sure it fits my mattress base before I buy?
A: You cannot attach a headboard to a box spring. You can attach it to the bed frame using bolts and a wrench that are included, or you can just wedge it between your bed and a wall. That’s what I did.

Q: what is the length between the bottom of the legs and each hole that can be used to attach it to the bed frame? I'm trying to gauge if this will fit my bed frame which is 18".
A: Hello Natalie - Great questions! This Queen Minsmere Caned Headboard from Threshold™ measures the length between the bottom of the legs : 1468 mm (approximately 58 inches) the length between each hole : 38 mm (approximately 1.5 inches). Hope this helps! - Jodi

Q: What types of bedframes have people had success with (brands, heights, specs, etc), additionally, did anyone find a bed frame that did not need a boxspring?
