Description

The Real Techniques Miracle Powder Sponge seamlessly blends and sets for a soft-focus finish that lasts. Our powder makeup sponge offers buildable coverage and is made with velvet fibers that help give you a soft, blurred finish on the skin. Real Technique’s MPS works best with powder foundations, blushes, and bronzers. This makeup sponge has RT's unique 3-point application technique that makes blending products seamless. First use the flat edge of the MPS to pack on product, then the precision tip to conceal, and finally, blend it all out with the rounded side. Our powder sponge can be used both damp and dry depending on the look you’re aiming to achieve. The Miracle Powder Sponge is easy to clean using our Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Cleansing Gel. It’s also 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and designed with revolutionary latex-free foam technology.

Directions of Use
Wet before use and use RT's signature 3-point application technique. Use the flat edge to apply and cover, the round sides to blend and blur, and the precision tip to conceal and perfect. Can be used damp or dry.

Cleaning, Care, and Maintenance
Rinse through with lukewarm water after each use. Deep clean 1x/week with Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Gel Cleanser. Air dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated area. Store in a cool, dry place. Replace every 30 days.

Q: Can you use with liquid foundation like a typical sponge?

submitted by lindsey2222 - 2 years ago
  • A: Hey Gorgeous, We designed this sponge specifically for use with powders, but we always encourage our fans to try their favorite products in different ways. Using liquid foundation won't harm your sponge, but it may not give the same results as our classic Miracle Complexion Sponge.

This really does apply liquid and powder really well. It really does help to set with a nice airbrushed effect. It also doesn't soak up as much product as other sponges. In the picture you can see it still looked clean after blending foundation. It was soft and easy to use.

I’ve never been crazy about a makeup sponge. It’s just a sponge, ya know? Like I’ve always just grabbed one and really didn’t think twice. But let me tell you, this sponge? Crazy good! I looked over some of the reviews and everyone has been using it with powder (as you should….. since that’s what the package says), but I use it with my Liquid foundation and it’s really a game changer!!! I don’t really like brushes, and this sponge paired with liquid foundation really gives you a powdered look. It has a flocked feel, and I’ve noticed it doesn’t soak up as much product as a liquid foundation sponge does? I don’t know, there’s science behind it somewhere I guess! Ive spent too much time reviewing literally just a sponge, but y’all get the idea 😂

Great for blending. I washed it just like I do any other sponge and it started tearing. It did allow me to see that it doesn’t accepted much product at all though.

  • Flawless Application of Pressed Powder Foundation!

I was skeptical, but this sponge delivers amazing fast, flawless full coverage of powder foundations. I use for both Dermablend & Bare Minerals pressed powder foundations. I literally just swipe the compact, then swipe across my face with quick even strokes. The coverage is totally flawless. No streaks or gaps (with good color match to my skin). I’ve not used it for blush or contouring, as I like my good Bare Minerals blush brush for a natural glow (but curious to try the sponge to see if it works with loose mineral glow blusher). I finish with a quick dab of translucent setting powder + fluff w/a large brush. I absolutely love it! No longer a chore to swipe on some natural coverage & go.

My biggest problem is it sucks up almost TOO much powder. Creates a big mess. I also end up wasting powder because the sponge holds it so well. Application is okay, I think i’m just going to stick to this brand’s regular orange sponge

I love this! I was confused on the velvety fuzzy texture at first but I read that it was really good for powders. So I grabbed my Kat Von D Lock it loose powder and tapped it into the lid to try and it picked up beautifully!!!!! The application was so good. If picked up just enough of the powder for me to lightly dab around my eyes and didn’t even look caked on like it would’ve if I had just used a powder brush like I had been doing before. Definitely repurchasing a million more Becuase it did a wonderful job ❤️ Real techniques did an amazing job yet again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Props to the company for always coming out with great applicators and everything in betweeeeen!

I wasn’t sure if this was necessary or what the deal was exactly with a sponge made for powder, but decided to try it. I dampen it like I do my beauty sponges and make sure it’s dried out well before dipping it into my setting powder. Since setting my under-eyes using this, I will never use a brush again. I am 38 with mature, dry skin, and setting my under-eye concealer with this sponge and a good setting powder helps to keep my under eye looking smooth and flawless! No creasing, no settling into fine lines, just an amazing airbrush-like finish. The sponge allows for the porduct to be more concentrated and to push it into the skin more rather than a brush just dusting it on top, which makes for better setting and longer lasting makeup. I sometimes use this sponge in my t-zone as well. Just ordered two more, because I need to have these forever!

Say goodbye to cakey powdered makeup! The Real Techniques Miracle Powder Sponge is a powder-lovers hero. The sponge seamlessly applies and blends powder makeup formulas and can even be used with liquid formulas. We like to use the sponge slightly damp, and you can trust that the velvet finish will stop powder products from receiving the wetness from the sponge, helping grab the powder better than the classic Real Techniques sponge. Pro tip! Use the sponge damp for a dewier finish.
