Great features, good picture quality, but HDR is too dark, details are lost in dark scenes— problem is generally the case for all LED backlight screens vs OLED. The only ‘fix’ is to watch 1080 content instead of HDR content. Also — this is the biggest issue — a couple months after warranty expired dark patches started appearing— the LED backlight appears to have developed gaps. Factory reset of TV didn’t correct the issue. I’m going to have to take the TV in for diagnosis and repair. Other than those issues I really like the TV

Bought this a few months back, constantly has issues staying connected to the wifi and reconnecting can take forever, and it is about 10ft from the router. All other devices we own have no issues. Stay Away!!

Hi Brando, Thank you for sharing your experience with Internet connectivity on the Samsung TU7000 TV. If you’re experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi connection, we suggest you try the following: 1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update. You can enable automatic updates for convenience. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. If you continue to have issues, please know we are here to help. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. The picture is good, but there are a limited (2) number of HDMI ports. The ARC port for the soundbar does not recognize my Vizio soundbar - so for good sound i need to either use the fiber connection, which means i need to control volume from the soundbar remote or by a new soundbar, which may or may not need to be a Samsung. MAYBE - Samsung could update the firmware on the TV to support different soundbars!
1 reply from Samsung Brand Ambassador team - 5 days ago
Hi Mike Martin, Thank you for reaching out and letting us know that you are having issues connecting your Samsung TU700D TV and Vizio soundbar. Please try the following troubleshooting steps, which may resolve your issue. First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update and update from there if needed. Next, ensure your Sound Output is set to your soundbar by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Output. Finally, please check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto. I hope this helps! Should your issue persist, please get in touch with Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. I bought this tv to replace my Hisense which was terrible. The Samsung is superior in resolution, wireless connection and range of what is available with the various streaming apps. The only disappointment is connecting my Bose speaker so it operates from the Samsung remote control. Other than that, I am very pleased.

We bought this to replace a ten year old Samsung TV that went black one day. But I felt as though it had been a really good TV and lasted longer than most things nowadays. I was truly shocked at the amazing picture! We set it up, which was super easy. It automatically found all our devices ie the router, PlayStation etc. It was when I went to watch something I had recorded that I couldn’t believe the difference. The show looked completely different than it had before. I felt like I was there or like it was a video game. Just awesome!

Hi there, I'm sorry that you are experiencing issues with Airplay crashing on your TU7000 TV. I have a few recommendations which may resolve this issue. First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware on your TV. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update and update from there if needed. Also, make sure your Apple device is also running the latest software version. Next, I recommend utilizing the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care. If you continue to have issues, please give us a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. I bought this and it got delivered with the screen broken. The packing and box was not damaged so it happened wherever it gets packed. It looked like it was squeezed to the point of snapping the screen. I called a local repair that Samsung had on their repair site and it costs more to replace the screen than to buy a new tv. I returned it and got a refund. Went to a local store and bought one so I could drive it home myself. And a different brand than Samsung.

Color and view is incredible. The wireless connectivity is where this TV severely lacks. I have 3 Onn brand TVs in my house and they have 0 issues but this Samsung TV is a constant battle to keep it connected to any app. Severely disappointed considering the price and brand.
1 reply from Samsung Brand Ambassador team - 10 days ago
Hi SmithFamily, I'm glad you reached out to let us know about the issues you are experiencing with the connectivity on your Samsung TU7000 TV. There are a few troubleshooting steps that may resolve the problem. 1) Check the network and the status of your access point. 2) On the remote control, press the Settings button. 3) Select Settings > General > Network > Network Status to check the network status. 4) If the network isn't connected, a network reset may be required. 5) Make sure that your access point is working correctly. Check the LED indicators on your access point to ensure it is operating normally. 6) Check the access point location if you use a wireless access point. If the access point is too far from the TV, move it closer. 7) Try rebooting the access point by disconnecting and reconnecting the power connector. It may take 1 to 2 minutes until the access point comes back online after a reboot. 8) If the same problem continues, select Settings > General > Network > Network Status > IP Settings to change to a different DNS server. If a test occurs, cancel it and select IP Settings. 9) Select DNS Setting Enter manually. 10) Select DNS Server, enter 8.8.8.8, then select OK. 11) A software update or factory reset may be required if the same problem continues. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. If this does not correct the issue, I also recommend trying these steps: 1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router, so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router If you continue to have issues, please know we are here to help.
