Loved the scent of the coconut and hibiscus mixed. The shampoo added plenty of moisture to my hair without making it feel greasy or heavy. It was easy to wash out and even easier to style afterwards.

I hated this stuff at first because of how oily it left my roots; however, after giving my hair a couple of months to adjust to it and learning how to effectively wash my hair using this product (it works best if you apply it in small sections using a generous amount), you won’t ever convince me to switch back to regular shampoo. I can now wear my hair without doing anything to it or styling it if I don’t want to, which saves SO much time! I have fine 2c unprocessed hair that is naturally oily at the roots and dry at the ends. My before and after pics are more exaggerated since the before pic is from when I was using drug store bleach to lift my hair and didn’t regularly trim it. However, my virgin hair suffers from much of the same frizzing as it did when my hair was chemically treated (albeit to a lesser extent). I still have a bit of frizz after using this co wash, but at least some frizz is to be expected with any sort of curly hair. The biggest improvement, by far, though, is how uniformly moisturized my hair is. It still tends to get oilier at the roots, but there’s not a stark contrast like there was before. My only two complaints about this product is how much of it you have to use to effectively clean your hair, and how flat and volume-less my roots have become from using this.

This stuff smells god awful. It didn’t do much good on my hair either. I really wanted to like it, as most of the Shea products I love. But don’t waste your money. It smells like diesel fuel. The Dove cow ash is so much better.

This co-wash does not strip away moisture but effectively cleans and washes off my oily scalp. However, I am not fan of the smell so I don’t think I will be repurchasing.
If you like a fantastic cowash with the perfect amount of proteins, this is it!!

I used to exclusively cowash for yeats. Then I realized I needed to use a clarifier and balance out my wash routines. So now, with my wavy curls, I use only 1 cowash, every once in awhile, and this is my all time favorite because it truly does gently cleanse my hair, as well as moisturizing it, and adding just the perfect proteins. All without weighing my waves and curls down. I love this entire line by shea moisture, it's definitely the one cowash I will recommend.

I was using the Kristen Ess co wash (not clean!) before this and this is far superior. I have recently become a lot more conscious about the ingredients in my products and I have 3B/3C curls. That Kristen Ess co wash was like any other conditioner but they just packaged it as a co wash. You can actually tell this Shea moisture product is unique and has its own qualities. It’s not quite a shampoo nor is it quite a conditioner… It is somewhat in between. I felt that it was so effective in removing buildup simply by massaging it into my scalp for a few minutes. It also smells amazing!

I love the Shea moisture collection. A very tiny bit goes a long way. I can make a bottle last 3 months or more. The conditioner smells amazing like the shampoo. Best if used together. Defines my waves and curls better than anything else I've ever used

I started using co-wash cleansers early in my hair-growth/health journey and this is the first one I tried. It gets my scalp nice and clean and leaves my hair silky. Contrary to popular belief, depending on your style choices, co-wash cleansers can replace shampoos as a cleansing option. They don’t strip hair or natural oils and remove dirt, dead skin, and buildup from the scalp.

For some reason for about a year my hair has had a lack of growth and I was given a bottle of this recently and yes it works! The first time I washed my hair with this I could already tell the difference in texture. It leave your hair moisturized and it also detangled it very well. Smells great! If you have damaged, brittle hair like I once had I recommend this. Its medicine in a bottle!

I have straight hair, but it is dry. The co-wash I used for years was discontinued. This is very moisturizing, but does leave a little "buildup" after a few washes, so am I using a normal shampoo and conditioner about once a week, and this in between. I am happy that this product is free from a lot of the harsh chemicals used in hair products, so I can feel good about using it. I am a Target team member, but these are my own thoughts and opinions.
