smells good. has good hold. only thing is that it does flake. the back of my daughter’s hair was flaky after being in her car seat. the rest of the hair didn’t flake. this product is also very runny. i wish this came in a tube instead

Shea moisture products are pore cloggers, this product made things go from 5 to below -10. It sits on the hair, clogs the scalp, builds up and does absolutely nothing. I don’t understand the hype but to each his own.

SO WATERY! I just about spilled half of it when I opened it. I was not expecting that consistency since it says “jelly” in the title. I decided to still give it a chance and it was still a no. Was wanting a smooth, slicked back look for my daughter’s hair but when I applied, it had no hold.

This product smells great and is very lightweight. It held my little ones hair down but also caused tons of FLAKES did not provide any shine so the hair looks dull. I was really disappointed about the flaking as I had just washed my littles ones hair! Will not be using this product again!

I also used it on my hair and too much with too much. Be very careful with the amount you use... You might want to use the curly girl method; which will help out with the white flakes. Ingredients are fine. By itself. It may need the curly girl method.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter enjoyed the smell as soon as we opened the jar, it wasn’t overpowering on the Hibiscus or on the coconut smell, instead the two scents blended perfectly. The consistency of the gel was exactly what I expected. When working it into her hair I found it went on easily and it did make her curls look wet and beautiful, however the more the product dried the more I noticed she had flake in her hair. I am not sure what caused the flakes. It does give you a great hold, that keeps your hairs from flying away, and keeps them in place. Overall, the Gel may not be for my daughter, but Shea Moisture products do work well in her hair and we will continue to love the brand when styling her hair
