DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT TO HOLD DVDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The top, middle and bottom shelf do NOT move and CANNOT hold a dvd upright so you only have 3 shelves to work with.

The cabinet arrived in good condition. However, the instructions only show pictures. My top and bottom pieces did not line up with the holes on the side boards. The picture showed I was to attached four screws on each end for both pieces, but only two of the holes on each end lined up. And two of the top piece screws would not tighten. Even though the other two screws were tight, I could lift the top right off the cabinet. Then one of the plastic pieces, embedded in the top piece, to secure the screw, came out and I couldn't get it back in. At this point, it had been over two hours and I was still on step 2, so I took it apart and returned it.

I am very pleased with this cabinet. Arrived promptly and in good condition. Assembly was easy. It is attractive and of good quality. Size is perfect...doesn't take up much space, yet it holds all my DVDs with room for a few more. A great addition to my living room!

I have 3 of these media cabinets. Directions are not great but overall they were easy to build. They seem pretty sturdy, but not as good as solid wood. Overall, they are very good cabinets, but you can find better if you want to spend a lot more money. Considering the price, I think they are a great value and recommend them.

one shelf needed some adjustment, I had to chisel one shelf where the pin sits to allow more head room for the cds'. Other than that, pretty good.

it was much smaller than we thought, but once we put it together it looks great and holds a lot of video games and cds. perfect for getting them off the coffee table!

The cabinet is advertised to fit 248 DVDs. However this is impossible. The first, middle and last shelf are stationary not movable like the other three shelves. You CANNOT stand a DVD or a blu Ray up on either of these shelves! Which forces you to lay them on their sides and then you lose space for more DVDs. I would never recommend this product.

This a great piece of furniture. Being a movie nut I have a lot of dvds and my husband is a gamer so between the two of us lots of cases, almost 275. I wanted class and style he wanted a display and with kids we both wanted a way to keep the media out of harms way. Easy to assemble but took about an hour and the tape used on the glass during shipping doesn't come off easy. Be careful when cleaning the glass as well since Windex takes some stain off. Over all, very happy with it.

The size of this cabinet was perfect for my needs and it arrived promptly. It was packaged well and there was no damage during shipping. However, the carcass of the cabinet and shelves are made of thin flakeboard with a thin venerer finish. The back seems to be masonite with a woodtone finish. The hardware is not first rate. As I assembled the cabinet the act of installing the hardware damaged one of the side panels and two of the shelves. The back is essential for stability of the unit because of the materials used. It took me three hours to complete the cabinet and I have many years of experience in carpentry. Once I was done I carefully evaluated its actual worth considering its final appearance including the flakewood damage and my estimate of how durable this cabinet might be over the course of a year. [...] The next day I returned the cabinet to my local Target store for a prompt refund. I would like to note that just because a piece of furniture is constructed in [other country] or made of flakewood does not mean it has to be substandard. In this case it did.

For the price of the cabinet [...] I was expecting a much better quality of material. For example, the door runners do not adjust and as a result the right door does not close flush with the cabinet. The finish is very thin and prone to showing marks if scratched (the underlying composite is light colored). The instructions recommend securing the cabinet to the wall and if you have pets or little ones in the house, I would definitely consider it. There is no support running through the middle of the cabinet and as a result it tends to be wobbly and could easily tip over. The two fixed shelves means that you cannot space all the shelves so that the cabinet will hold only DVDs. I ended up with two shelves that would hold CD's and four shelves suitable for DVD's. I would not recommend using the cabinet to store heavy items (such as books) since the shelves run the length of the cabinet with no middle support.The cabinet was relatively easy to put together. It took me under 90 minutes and I was not rushing. There weren't a lot of parts and the doors came fully assembled which was a great time saver. The instructions, while complete, were not formatted in a user friendly manner. They were all crammed together in very large paragraphs. I relied mainly on my past experience with assembling these types of cabinets to get me through the process.

This has a great color, nice hardware and is fairly sturdy. The shelves on the inside are poorly stained and are flimsy. [...]I don't think it's worth [$]. [...]

This is a beautiful cabinet and I love how it looks in my house. When we read the dimensions of the cabinet we knew it should work for us. We read all the reviews and placed our order. Once the fixed shelves were put in, I knew automatically that the top row would have to be for CD's which was a disappointment because we had planned to use it solely for DVD's. Then once we started putting all the adjustable shelves in we became unhappy. Because of the position and placement of the fixed shelves, you can only have 4 rows of DVD's and you have to have 2 rows of CD's. All the DVD's we own barely fit on the 4 rows. As much as we love how it looks, we have to return it. Otherwise once we buy or are given one more DVD we would constantly be complaining about all the money we spent on this cabinet that doesn't hold everything. If we could arrange the shelves to have 5 rows of DVD's and no CD shelves, it would be perfect.I think that the item description should have been a little better to explain that 188 DVD's is the maximum that this will hold and that you have to have at least 2 rows for CD's. If we hadn't gotten free shipping when we ordered and weren't able to return it to the store, I would be really upset - instead I am just disappointed.

I really like my new media cabinet....The other reviews are right about the nice quality. The only thing that looks cheap is the cardboard backboard but once your DVD's are in you don't notice it. Also, the picture makes the cabinet look much bigger then it is. I was disappointed when I took it out of the box and realized the size. Be careful to look at the measurements before you order to make sure it will be large enough for you!! Other then that- its great. The doors slide perfect and its a nice addition to my new living room.

Spent about an hour today putting this together - definitely glad I had an extra set of hands but it went fairly smoothly. Everything is well labelled & easy to put together. Looks much more expensive than it was. I am pleased that I was finally able to buy this item.

Without a doubt, this was an excellent purchase. I was very impressed with the way it was double carton packed, so the cabinet came through the shipping in outstanding condition. The high quality was a nice surprise & very easy to put together. Absolutely, this is a fantastic product. The wood color matches all my other mission style furniture in our family room.

This cabinet was so easy to put together and I don't have any problems with the doors sliding. It is a little dark and blends well with the expresso furniture. Target, you out did yourself, again.

When the cabinet arrived I couldn't wait to put it together. Finally I'm getting my excess DVD's off the floor. With the way I have my cabinet configured (there are 2 fixed shelves), it holds approx. 188 DVD's (on 4 rows) and 122 CD's (on 2 rows).I agree with the other reviewers that the instructions were very condensed, but the cabinet wasn't difficult to assemble. The main things to watch out for is when assembling the back. This is the main support for stability. Be sure to keep checking that the cabinet is level when screwing the back panel on, otherwise your doors will not close completely.The only other suggestion I have to offer about this product, is to do an inventory of all of the pieces as soon as you unpack the box. In my case, I ended up with 2 right doors instead of a right and a left. I called the manufacture's number and they were happy to send out the missing door. This didn't impact my ability to assemble the cabinet since the doors simply pop in.Otherwise, I have really like the cabinet and have just ordered a second one. Enjoy!

Cabinet was packed very well and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly directions could be made clearer by adding diagrams but after a couple of mistakes, it turned out beautiful. Reasonably priced. Would recommend this to anyone who needs a cabinet for CDs and DVDs.

I am very impressed with the style and appearance of this storage unit! It looks like a nice piece of furniture and I love the dark expresso brown finish. I bought this specifically to house my DVDs - replacing the more typical open shelf DVD storage unit style. The Mission-ish furniture styling makes the unit a nice addition to my living room and the glass doors keep the dust out/off.I gave this 4 stars versus 5 because a) one of my doors does not roll absolutely smoothly and b) the directions are a bit too condensed - it would benefit from having more, separate diagrams for each step. Neither of these reasons would stop me from highly recommending to friends or from buying another. Really nice!
