The 15 Quart ClearView Latch™ Box is ideal for storing shoes, accessories, toys, or arts and craft supplies, and conveniently fits on 16" wire shelving, great for closet organization. The clear base and lid allow contents to be easily identified from any angle. Color accented latches secure the lid to the base, yet are still easy to unlatch. The indexed lids allow same size storage boxes to stack neatly on top of each other to use vertical storage space efficiently. The 15 Qt and 27 Qt ClearView Latch™ Boxes use the same lid, allowing both the shallow and deep sizes to be stacked in same footprint. The overall assembled dimensions of this item are 17" L x 11 1/8" W x 6 1/2" H.

Q: Can I line it with a 4-gallon compostable bag and keep it outside? How long do you think the bin would last outside?

A: Thank you for your question. The Sterilite 15 Qt ClearView Latch Box was designed for general household use, it is not waterproof and does not contain UV protection. Rain, snow, and other weather can get into the storage box.

Q: What are the base measurements inside the container? The walls taper outward and the lid is larger than the base measurements, so what is the lid measurements?

I've got these totes in all sizes all over my house. They are in my bathroom with all different medicines in them for whatever may be bothering us. Not to mention the 20- 66qt ones in my she shed full of yarn or the 10+ of the smaller ones in my kids room full of toys and are supplies. Buy these totes, you will love them!

The lid does not really fit on the bin. There's a noticeable gap all around the top when you close it.

The plastic is very solid which is nice, does not bend. It does seal very well which is great for storage, but not good for moist items like dirty towels as they will not dry, for that I would use a different storage approach. The latches are quite strong and still close on overfilled boxes. Overall it's a great storage option 3-6 dollars depending on size. The boxes stack well on top of each other which works well for organizational purposes. 98/100 score. Highly recommend.

The quality of this product is good and is sturdy to hold a variety of items. I can even stack multiple of these on top of them if needed for easy storage. The latch is easy to use and holds the content inside firmly. Only downside is that contents inside may scratch the inner side and makes it harder to see inside down the road.

I have bought a total of 60 of these in my past 5 years. All of them are still working fine without damage. I would say these are the best storage bins I can ever find. They are somewhat expensive, but considering the quality, they still worth the money. I am able to stak them up to 8 levels without excessive wobbling, but I would not recommend you from doing it. Stacking 3 levels would work the best.

The smaller ones are great... but the 110 qt is probably the one getting all the bad reviews. My large bin is only secured on the ends where the latches are. The sides of the lid either collapse onto itself, or are raised off the bin. I usually have to secure the sides with packing tape. I've had my 110 qt bin a few years.
