They are a bit of room darkening but not blackout. I can still see the outside if I stand right in front of it looking outside into the sun. The curtains don't have the white backside like most black out curtains do. Maybe 60-70% room darkeningsee moreof the reviewer's review

Like the new curtains a lot. The do block out most of the sun in the morning. I am able to sleep late again. They are a bit thinner that I had expected but they do the job They emit a soft glow in the morning instead of the bright morning light. I like the nice plum color I got too. Perfect match fo...see moreof the reviewer's review

I order these in the blush color and had to return them because they had too much of a "lavender" color shade to them...not really a true blush color. Other than the color being off than what I expected they were a nice quality. I cannot say how they filtered light because I didn't even bother to ha...see moreof the reviewer's review

I think some reviewers are confusing this curtain with the very smiliar Kenneth curtain. The Kenneth curtain is black out, while the Seymour curtain is just darkening. I bought both to compare, and I liked the shade of sage on the Seymour curtain better, so purchased 6 of those for my bedroom. They ...see moreof the reviewer's review

NOT BLACK OUT CURRENTS! They look nice, but they are not "zero sun" as they claim to be. I'm also not a fan of the texture, think pantyhose, but rougher.

These curtains are suppose to be room darkening, but you can see right through them. They are too thin. I was very disappointed when I pulled them out of the package. I ordered them in 2 colors. I like the color of the purple ones, but they are going to be useless in the bedroom for privacy. I had a...see moreof the reviewer's review

The 'plum' was a very ugly brownish shade and hardly any light was blocked. Returning.

I ordered these curtains in Stone and they looked black. Would be pretty curtains if I wanted black but definitely not what I was expecting. Also, they didn't darken as much as I was hoping. So unfortunately I ended up returning them.see moreof the reviewer's review
