Q: Is it a white soft sugar?
submitted by White soft sugar - 5 years ago
A: It is soft or fine granular sugar alternative. It is said Swerve doesn't spike blood sugar and is diabetic friendly. I used it to make a homemade apple pie and didn't tell anyone. We all thought it tasted as good as always. Swerve is available in white granular, brown and powdered sugars. All equally as good.

I have tried all the other sweeteners and this by far is the best. It doesn't leave an aftertaste like the other. Cook 1 to 1 of regular sugar

If I could leave zero stars I would, tasted like battery acid! It was so rancid wow! I bought this sugar to make a cheese cake for a diabetic in my family and boy did I wish I just used real sugar instead! I thought I was buying a nice higher end sugar replacement and I wish I just got Splenda instead!
Take other review with a grain of salt.

For the person saying be wary of the first ingredient that apparently now causes blood clots and heart issues… I’d take that with a grain of salt… notice how many things apparently cause this… probably to cover up the real thing causing recent heart issues. This stuff is a great sugar replacement

Just found out the first ingredient, erythritol, causes blood clots and substantially increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. I consumed this product quite a bit last year and I am disgusted. Not Target's fault but perhaps shouldn't carry this product.

I love this product! It tastes the closest to regular sugar without carbs or calories. Also, it doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste, like Stevia and pure Monk fruit. It’s safer than Equal and Sweet n Low, which are chemical based and linked to causing cancer. It’s a little less sweet than regular sugar, so I use a little more to sweeten my drinks/foods. The only negative is that it is sensitive to moisture, so keep it in a dry place, and don’t pour it directly over hot steamy drinks/foods. Spoon it in, so the moisture stays out of the bag. Believe me when I say, I have tried everything out there. This is the best! I really love this sweetener.

I have done keto baking for years and Swerve is a staple for me. Baking with sugar alternatives has a bit of a learning curve, but overall I am happy with Swerve and use it in its various forms. Swerve Granular is a bit more powdery than regular granulated sugar--so the consistency will look different. Each one also has a different purpose that it is best for. For baking cookies/cake/etc I prefer granular and Swerve brown, but if I add some to a liquid (making syrups or jams, adding to coffee) I prefer confectioner's Swerve. I do wish you got more given the price, but I don't mind smaller quantities since I am trying to cut back on eating (and making) sweets in general!

Very High end sound - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
I bought this with high hopes and after seeing all the positive reviews I was so excited. Then I tasted the product. This must be some kind of joke. This product is not sweet at all. Very odd flavor with very little sweetness. Garbage bag it went.

I have bought this twice and its a good sugar replacement, however just be careful when storing. Because of the zip seal if just the tiniest bit of air gets in, it will clump it.
Its an okay alternative

I prefer the confectioners blend when using Swerve. The granular just isn’t as sweet.

This is the only sugar alternative I tried that I really like. I never consume splenda, stevia, monkfruit, etc. because I don't like the way they taste; I'd rather just consume regular sugar sparingly. But Swerve (erythritol) tastes and feels the same as sugar to me.

A sweetener that gets the job done but personally, not my fave. It leaves a coating of the sugar flavor throughout the day, again, for me personally. I only buy this when I can’t get my hands on my preferred keto sugar in a red bag. Wish target sold that one!
Hirrible after taste.

I decided to cut down on sugar for health purposes. I got swerve granular sugar replacement to replace the sugar I was using in my morning coffee. I use less than actual real sugar and it provides my cup of coffee with the same sweetness. I’ve been purchasing this product for several months now and I’m satisfied with it.

It is much finer than granulated sugar (though not quite powdered, either), but what's worse is that the "oligosaccharides" and "natural flavors" are totally unnecessary. You know what we need? Erythritol, that's IT. The saccharides are exactly the problem with all the other artificial sweeteners. If I wanted saccharine, I'd use the pink bags. Blech. The only good thing about this is that it's better than stevia, which sticks to your tongue with that aftertaste forever. The Wholesome brand sells a straight erythritol granulated sweetener that is perfect - no aftertaste, nothin. Just sweet. I was hoping to avoid ordering it from the big online juggernaut, but I guess I have no choice.

I’ve been using this for years and tried so many different sugar substitutes but nothing is as great tasting as Swerve. I will continue to use this and hope they never discontinue this!

I put less than a teaspoon of this is a glass of tea. Several hours later I had horrible stomach pain and my face was flushed. I was in pain for a few hours. I googled the ingredient in this and it is known to commonly cause stomach pain. There are some people who won't have a bad reaction but I did and I want to warn people not to buy this! Avoid at all costs!
