  • A: A Roku account is free, and so is adding apps to your homescreen. The only time payment comes in is if the app itself has a paid subscription (such as Netlix, Hulu, HBO etc.). I've had a Roku TV for 6 years and haven't had to pay for any apps themselves, just the subscription to the service.

My TCL Roku lasted quite a bit longer than most of these reviews. It is a different TV, but still expensive (for me) and still a TCL Roku. Almost 3 years, but like them, just this morning I too fell victim of "the black screen." The others are also correct. It cannot be undone. A great TV while it lasted. I don't think I'll buy another TCL. The current economy makes disposable products very unattractive.

Don't waste your money. It was decent while it lasted but screen went black just over a year after purchasing. Audio still works but football games just aren't the same.

Overall it has quite a few streaming apps that I am subscribed to and able to watch easily. The picture is ok, but I sure don’t notice the “HD” quality. Would say it’s still a good purchase for an ok tv.

Highly Frustrated

Bought this TV April 2022 and my screen went blank a few days ago. Tried rebooting it which didn’t work. The screen flashes very quickly when powering on and then nothing. There’s still sound though soooo yea. This is my second of this exact TV so I’m kind of over this brand all together.
