Description

Review Quotes

They were friends, they were lovers, they were, above all, parents to each other- she fatherly to him, he motherly to her. . . . Anna MacBride White provides an interesting account of her grandmother Maud Gonne, while A. Norman Jeffares, one of Yeats's biographers, gives an admirably detailed account of the intertwined careers of the famous pair; his annotations to the letters are all that a reader could wish.-- "The New York Times Book Review"
