Description
A rich, but lightweight lotion that provides effective moisturization for day or night. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid and 5 key ceramides which help to hydrate and retain the skin’s moisture. It leaves the skin feeling soft and deeply moisturized while still being lightweight and suitable to wear under makeup.

A: These products should work well together. However, the only way to be sure a product is safe to use together is to apply a small amount on the skin and see if a reaction develops. This is usually done on the underside of the arm above the elbow. If no problem is evident, a larger application area can be tried until the person is confident that no problem exists.

Vanicream cream is fragrance free and very delicate on your skin, but gives me the moisture I need at seventy five years old. I am 41 and started having rosacea about 5-6 years ago. I regularly get excel v laser treatment to keep it check. I switched to this from Elta MD as I noticed some breakthrough redness. I deeply regret this decision. My face has completely freaked out. I used it a total of 4 times and finally switched to my old facial stuff today and the redness is dying down. Whew…having truly sensitive skin is the pits. Also, I never felt like is absorbed into my skin correctly. It always felt a little greasy and like it was just sitting in my skin.

This has so many good reviews and I've heard great things about it, but honestly I don't understand why people like it so much. I have been using Elta MD AM Therapy for years and finally decided I wanted to find something cheaper. This vanicream moisturizer is like 2x the size and 1/3 of the price so I was very hopeful. I have sensitive, slightly acne-prone combination skin. Pros: it didn't break me out, didn't cause any rashes or allergic reaction, very affordable, no fragrance. Cons: I really don't like the feel/finish (it's kinda of slimy and sticky) and it did sting my face where I had some chapped skin (I then used the Elta MD and it did not sting)- so makes me a little concerned about sensitive skin. Overall, it's okay. You get what you pay for.
