Q: How far apart are the screw holes (I'm assuming there are 2 on the back)? Wondering if I could mount it in my studs which are 16" apart

We love these bookshelves! We use them for the top bunk of the bunk bed where our kid can’t access a nightstand. We have had one up for about a year and it held up so great that I bought multiple on sale so we could hang up more. Installation is easy and they have all come looking great.

We bought these about three years ago, maybe a little longer than that. They’ve held up awesome. I was hesitant to buy originally because of how poorly the reviews are but these were exactly what I wanted so I chanced it. They hold a lot of weight! And have not come loose in the wall at all. I plan to repurpose them as the girls get old as holders for makeup and hair product holders. Just tried to buy some more for my other daughters room and are sold out. Fingers crossed they get more. If you’re having second thoughts, just buy them! you’ll love them.

LOVE THIS !!! Put it my daughters room by the bed, holds her laptop and phone next to bed but not on nightstand with her water glass( see potential problem) ran charges to it and she loves it . Also no longer sleeping on top of laptop. Had a template so was easy to hang, sturdy wood all the way cute cute cute. More importantly Functional.

It is made of MDF which contains formaldehyde and is hazardous to health, especially children. This should not be used in the nursery.

Very happy with this bookrack. Other reviewers said the front piece that holds the books in was plastic but ours came and it was nice sturdy wood. We ordered two and both were the same. I almost didn't order these because other reviewers said they were cheap plastic front piece. Target must've fixed the problem. Great little bookrack for the price.

Great idea, great curb appeal, and way better than traditional book shelves for kiddos. However, the quality is lacking- The “paint” material is kind a cheap looking and the corners appear cracked because of where the production employees didn’t seal it together with care. And they are all like that- I ordered 6 of them. I’m keeping them though- because they are a good deal and easy to replace of one breaks from the kids climbing them :-)

Look cute and seem to hold up well. We have two in my daughters room now. I can’t comment on how difficult they were to hang since my boyfriend hung them... Just what we were expecting for the price and my daughter seems to like them!

My frustration is extreme on this bookshelf. I have literally spent three hours on it and it STILL will not hang properly. I have meticulously measured every last thing so that the screws fit perfectly to no avail. I now had to wait for putty to dry again to try and get this shelf hung. I am 37 weeks pregnant, have hung multiple other things in the nursery with no issues, but this has my very last nerve. The brackets in the back are clearly not at the right angle to make this work.

Looks okay, but terrible to hang. Neither of the two I purchased came with the template mentioned in the instructions. 1 screw broke, 2 more were too big to fit in the brackets. Definitely not worth the trouble.
