A: The desk is white and the blue that you see is the blue LED light that is built into the desk. It can be turned off if you like.

A: Both attachments are secured to the desk with screws, however, you do not have to attach either if you do not wish to use these.

Directions were easy to follow and the assemble time was about a little over an hour. Very solid and durable. It seems pricey but it's well worth it when you realize you won't have to buy another gaming desk anytime soon.
