I got one of these for my housemate for Christmas and he uses it all the time. The ONLY problem is that the handle on the lid started to crack and the replacement lid, which you have to mail order, costs almost as much, with shipping, as a whole new crockpot. So, now we have two with one good lid. It's been used to make pot roast, stew, BBQ pork, cheese soup and a few other things. Works like a charm!

This was my first slow cooker purchase so before I bought one I did do a lot of review reading. I am so glad that I did because I now have exactly what I was looking for... a great quality, easy-to-use, pretty slow cooker that I feel will serve the needs of my growing family for years to come. I am glad I did not opt for any smaller than the 6 quart. The 6 quart was the perfect size for every recipe I've made that serves 4 to 8 people. I love that the stoneware in black so it will not show st ains from cooking with certain spices. Also the programmable settings include Warm, Hi is 4 to 6 hours and Low is 8 to 10 hours. After the selected cooking time has elapsed the cooker automatically switches itself to the Warm feature until you turn it off. So if you like to start a meal at night and wake up with a warm, ready-to-eat meal, you'll love this feature. And of course the lids attaches to the base to make travel more convenient.

I recived this at one of my bridal showers. I used it for the first time last night, it was very nice! I do wish it had the knobs,even if they are "old school", but I'm sure if i read the instructions first that would solve any confusion I had. Love the locking top! Didnt over heat and burn my food like a cheap one i bought from target. Already have reccomended this to friends and family
