I can't say enough good things about this chart. My son (age 4) now looks forward to doing his "chores" so that he can earn a smiley. I give him 20 cents for each smiley that he earns, so not only is this teaching him about responsibility, it's also teaching him the value of money. Now instead of me simply giving him toys, he is buying them with the money he has earned. Highly recommend this!
i have had this for about 3 wks now and already i have noticed a different. i picked my daughter up from school and as soon as i walked in she said mommy mommy i help clean up and i didnt whine i get magnet!!! i was impressed we had only had it about 1 wk at that time. since then it has only gotten better. i used to have to ask over and over and over to pick up toys. now it usually gets done on the 1st ask. i just thought that she was just acting like a daughter but now i know it doesnt have to
be like that. we also use it for counting and colors too. we are still trying to figure out the best way to reward for the magnets collected. trying to figure out how to reward for good behavior is a good problem to have if you ask me!!! we love it. the package says 3+ yrs but my girl is catching on wonderfully. never hurts to start working with them early just make it fun!
I wanted something to help get my daughter on a better schedule and to learn responsibility. I love how sturdy this toy & the ease to reuse it. I'm so glad this toy will easily grow with her and that she can use it for many years. She has so much fun putting on the magnets, she gets excited to do 'things' now.
Great tool to teach kids responsibility!! My 3.5 yr old son enjoys putting 'smileys' on his daily achievements. I like that it has blank magnets to fill in your own.
I have twin 5 yr old boys and an 8 yr old son that are so proud of themselves when they get to put their own "award" magnet on their board. When they see there is no magnet for putting their shoes up yet, they run around the house looking for their shoes and put them up right away. It is totally worth the money. I'm actually buying another one for my 4th child now.
