A: Tea/Coffee can inhibit iron absorption and orange juice (vitamin C) can promote it.

Slightly worse now!
Like several other Up & Up products, the pills in the new packaging are slightly worse than before. The pills are now considerably thicker which makes them more uncomfortable to swallow. They also have a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste (but is still better than other pills I’ve tried that taste like pennies). I loved these before, going to search for a different brand when this bottle runs out.

Empty Containers adding to waste stream. Thirty is a rediculous amount to place in a container. The pill count of 150 would be more reasonable.

These gave me noticeable stomach upset and nausea within a short time after taking them. I switched to Wal-Mart’s comparable product which has different ingredients and I had no upset stomach at all. I would not recommend this product for these reasons.

People who need iron, usually need it for a while, why only 30 if these in this big empty bottle? And the dosage is lower than what is typically recommended for those who are iron deficient. Just make an option with a higher pill count, … means less plastics, shipping, etc.

They recently changed the ingredients. I used to love this iron but now I get heartburn and an upset stomach. That never happened before. I wish they didn’t change the ingredients. Also, please remove the artificial dyes. No one wants them.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but every time I take anything with iron my stomach gets tore up. I ate my breakfast so I could take my supplements and I mean, almost immediately stomach pain. I had plans to go out and do some shopping, now here I am in bed saying ‘never again!’ Who wants to be in pain simply trying to take supplement to aid their body? I’m returning as soon as possible.

Terrible labeling. Or am I blind?
There is no labeling that I can see. Or is it my oversight? How many mg of ferrous sulfate does a single pill contain? For example, other labels state "65 mg (365 mg ferrous sulfate)". Therefore, a person would take 1 pill if prescribed 365 mg and NOT 5 pills. 65 mg is the elemental equivalent to the 365 mg of ferrous sulfate. I wish labeling would be clearer.

No thank you! I purchased these and then realized when I had gotten them home, that there are all artifical dyes include in them (Blue/Red & Yellow!) . Red dyes have just been banned, so I wish the rest of these dyes would also get banned. Why do you have to include any artifical dyes in a vitamin or supplement!??
