I bought these towels to embroider on and then use in the kitchen, but they are way too thin. The thread count is very low and so it's not possible to embroider on them and I imagine they will wear out quickly when put to use. Not like the traditional flour sack towels I've used.

Okay, maybe not a million, but aside from its basic role (quick drying hand or dish towel) that it performs very well, the light cotton construction makes this a perfect press cloth, compress or light covering for rising bread. While not guaranteed lint free, it has never been a problem for me.

Bought these because they were called flour sack towels, an old term for towels that were actually made from sturdy cotton and used for big bags of Flour. These are nothing like what used to be called flour sack towels. These are more like gauze and are horrible if trying to dry glass. Real flour sack towels are very absorbing.

I use these for everything from drying dishes to drying my hair (better than a microfiber towel). I also keep one folded and draped over the bathtub because it makes a very absorbant and quick-drying bath mat of sorts! I can't speak to the quality, but they are a bit scratchy and not perfectly square. But for the price, that's what you get - and I'm fine with it!

I cut each cloth into fourths and use them for DIY cleaning wipes. Doing this made just enough to fill an old disinfecting wipes container, then I just doused them with my DIY cleaning solution.
