A: I bought these a month ago and after repeated attempts, have not been able to balance them on my nose. So disappointed! They are however, perfect for washing in the dishwasher from what I've heard.

we bought these about 8months ago. We do not soak or scrub harshly. However, we do put them in the dishwasher. Now, when I use the silverware the black comes off on my hand. That can't be good for putting in your mouth. Now, I have 10 sets of this that I am going to have to throw away. These are not made to last. I feel like I got ripped off. I'm sad that Chip and Joanna are part of this. I love their brand.

Some foods can promote staining/corrosion. -Avoid soaking stainless flatware in water for an extended period of time. -Avoid air drying if possible. Using a soft cloth to dry is beneficial. -Do not wash your stainless flatware with any abrasive or acidic cleaning agents and do not soak flatware overnight. -Do not use steel wool pads or detergent/polish compounds that scratch stainless steel or the coating. -Knives are especially vulnerable as the scratch surface becomes more sensitive to rusting.

I absolutely love this silverware. I’ve had it since July. BUT….. one of my knives is turning and has some kind of funky design on it now. After reading reviews, I do not let it sit in water of course in the sink, although I do put it in dishwasher. I’m not going to have silverware I can’t run in the dishwasher. None of the other silverware is doing this as of yet! Also, One knife inside the cutting part also is rusty. It’s just the knives doing this all of a sudden.

This set is disappointing. I bought the black flatware along with the stoneware dinner plates and after one dinner my stoneware is now scratched from the black utensils. My other flatware does not scratch the stoneware so I’m thinking it must be the black flatware. Would not recommend

I really loved the look of these, I bought 6 sets to replace mismatched/eclectic/hand-me-down silverware that my husband and I acquired throughout college. We've had the set a little over 6 months, and the black coating is chipping on some of the pieces. I still love the way the look, the chips are mostly along the edges and prongs of the forks, it looks almost intentional (even though it's definitely not!) We have washed them almost exclusively in the dish washer, so that could be our own fault. $20 seems a little steep for 5 utensils, but the cost of a larger set seemed pretty similar across stores and varieties. I'm happy with the purchase even with the wear and tear!

These look gorgeous but after only 1 use and handwashing them, the black coating is chipping off. These are NOT cheap! A complete waste of money. Thankfully Target gave us our money back for all 8 sets but save yourself the headache and buy a quality product. I expected more from Joanna Gaines

I loved these for about 6 months and now my opinion is…these suck. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. It would be different if the matte black was on rubbing off one of the items but it’s noticeable on all of them and I bought 8 sets. Couldn’t be more disappointed. Such a waste of money.
