Purchased with the hope of organizing video media and graphic novels - depth states 9.13" - that is the depth of the base not the actual shelving depth which is 4". The quality of the piece is what I expected for pricing. Returning as it will not solve our storage needs.

i was really disappointed. i was originally so excited for this unit to hold all of my DVD's, knowing it wasn't top quality, but decent i ordered.
Putting together, the screws were stripping the first time I started putting them in and then the other pieces wouldn't lock into place so the shelves wouldn't stay together. I am returning this because of that :(

I was not very impressed. When I got the order there was a place in the box that had been crushed in a little but it wasn’t too bad so I didn’t really worry too much about it. Then when I get it inside and start taking it out I hear all this noise and look to see ALL the hardware(nails, screws, etc....) raining down out of the box. Needless to say, since there was a while in the box AND all the hardware had came out of its minor packaging that a lot of it was missing. I finally come up with enough stuff from around my house to make it work and the little pegs used to hold the shelves in don’t want to stay in and keep falling out! Oh, and also the backing to it is not that pleasant to look at either. Luckily I plan on filling it completely full of dvd’s so I don’t have to look at it. Def not the best experience.

The instruction manual is absolutely HORRIBLE! You need to read it 10 times to make sure you know what to do before doing it. It didn't help that when my box arrived all of the little connector pieces had come out of the cheap plastic package they come in, I ended up using wrong pieces because you cannot distinguish them on the instructions.
The shelf itself isn't to bad, it uses the stupid screw locks but it also uses actual screws to secure it more. Not sure it was worth the price though, and I got it on sale. If your wanting this for the "customization" feature just know it's actually pretty limited. There isn't enough space between the holes for the shelves so there's wasted space. I have about a dozen shelves that are unused because there isn't enough space for all of them, I have all DVD's and video games on my shelf.

I got this for my DVD collection and I needed something to hold all of my DVDs. When I opened it the box never showed what side to open. So all the pieces went all over the place. So if it wasn't for the directions I would have no idea what goes where. After I got this there was another one that holds more DVDs for over half the price.

This is probably one of the most flimsy shelving units I ever bought. It barely feels like it can support its own weight once assembled. In fact, about 3/4 the way through putting it together, the instructions have you flip the entire shelving unit so the front side is on the ground so that you can nail in the black backing to the backside of the unit. The problem is that the shelf is not flat on the ground because the base sticks out, and so I had the entire shelf snap in half height-wise because the boards weren't strong enough to keep the bolts in place.

Purchased for addition dvd storage. Product was not terrible to assemble, but extra hands made it easier. Is made of wood laminate, but seems to be sturdy and will do what it is made for. My only wish is that the shelves were as deep as the cabinet. They are a bit shorter, but will still do the job. The shelves are adjustable which is a plus.

I already owned three of these for my huge DVD collection. I needed another because my collection has grown. These are great for big collections, whether DVD, CD, or games. I would have rated this a five, but Atlantic did some design changes and made the shelf depth a little smaller. I understand, they needed to cut some costs. The full unit is still strong and sturdy. It still works great.
