Q: Is it safe if the infant places the pieces in his or her mouth?

A:Â Hi Granny. The pieces of the puzzle have water based paints on them, and are 3rd party tested to ensure the safety of the pieces and to ensure they are non-toxic. The puzzles wood pieces may not be the best to put in their mouths, as if they are teething and chew into it, they might create small chips that might cause splinters. The Battat Team

The numbers are too small for a one year old The slots are not deep enough to hold the letters in. They just move around as you try to complete the puzzle. It’s too frustrating.
