A:Â This manual sweeper will work for quick cleanups on low pile carpet and hard floors. If your rug is shaggy it won't suction like a vacuum would. Hope this helps!

I bought this to use on our washable rugs bc the vacuum sucks them up. It works perfectly. We have a husky and it picks up quite a bit of hair from the rugs and from the hard floors. It doesn’t do as well on actual carpet though.

Bought this for the store I work in, it is absolutely amazing! It’s perfect for our space we have to small rugs and the rest of the store is hard word! I would Highly recommend. While I wouldn’t knock it down a whole star my only complaint would be it’s a little short and with a longer handle I think it would be perfect! For reference myself and my employees average 5’5

I was excited to have a quiet option to pick up spills on the carpet, unfortunately the sweeper couldn't handle our powerful hair and it literally fell apart within a few days :( Because of this, would not recommend for those who shed lots of hair, human or otherwise!

The poles that attach to one another to make a handle continue to spin and won’t stop. When I tried to use the sweeper they would fall off and the whole thing would fall apart. I returned it for a new one and the same thing happened. Piece-o-jun7.

I requested a Bissell hand sweeper for my birthday. My main purpose is to pick up pet hair without dragging out my large vacuum cleaner every time. It picks up pet hair and debris off of the carpet well but then spits strips of it back out after just a few swipes. So I have to roll over it again then empty it. I miss the Bissell I had back in the early '70s. It was larger and never spit out any pet hair or debris no matter how full it got. This little item defeats the purpose of quickly sweeping the carpet and is very disappointing.

Love it and use it almost daily. With 2 dogs, I vacuum or sweep everyday. This sweeper works so well at picking up dust and dog hair. I'm always amazed, when I empty the waste compartments, at how much has been collected. I think it's such a great product that this one was purchased as a gift.
