This is a very stylish chair which I bought for my 10 year old's desk. It is perfect for kids. The one negative thing I will say is that depending on your body type (for adults), it may not be the most comfortable. The outer parts of your thighs may be crammed into the chair which is uncomfortable.
This set of two, Carlisle, metal, dining chairs is a nice choice for homes with children and pets because they are rugged and easy to clean. These are 100%, painted, metal. They require assembly but it is very easy. Just attach the back to the base with the included screws and Allen wrench. It takes less than 5 minutes per chair and once assembled, the chair is very solid and sturdy.
There are perforations in the seat to allow liquids to drain through in the event of a spill or a downpour. There are thick, rubber, feet attached to each leg so they will not mar your floors. They are relatively lightweight so easy to move. They are also somewhat compact so a nice choice for smaller spaces.
Obviously, they are not as comfy as upholstered dining chairs but they are surprisingly comfortable. I have chairs like these in my home and they have held up beautifully against my large, messy, family. I got these for a friend who just got an apartment and she loves them. No issues at all with shipping damage as they come well padded in the shipping box. I assembled them and there were no issues. All holes lines up correctly and the correct number of screws were included.
These are designed to resemble metal chairs that are common in Paris, outdoor, cafes but they are not super heavy duty so I don't know if the metal would rust if used exclusively outdoors. But you could certainly take them outdoors for gatherings and get togethers. They have an industrial look that I find charming and you can't beat the price. Definitely worth the money.
