Q: What is the seat width of these chairs?

A: The seat width is 14". The seat is also 14" deep. The distance between the two posts that attach to either side of the seat is just 12 3/4" and that is only 9" from the front edge of the seat.

A: I'd say these are ivory, off-white, or cream, but not pure white.

Assembly was fairly easy; you only need to install the backs of the chair. The grey backing and legs are shiny yet near a gunmetal grey - without the rustic feel. The wood seat is as pictured. They are standard tolix-like size, which is to say that they are small and not that comfy for those over 150 pounds. But I plan to purchase seat cushions designed specifically for tolix-like chairs to make them a little more comfy. I plan to use these chairs as a desk chair for my bedroom and a spare storage chair for perhaps a humidifier later on. They are stylish and go well with industrial, rustic, coastal, and even bohemian-like decor.

So disappointed in these! I got the matte black with wood seats. The metal was welded together in all the wrong areas and very obvious to the eye. There were also scratches on the metal. And the wood seats… pretty sure they’re NOT wood… looked and felt like plastic. And there were dents in the seats too. Ordered the matte black barstools too with hopes for better quality but FedEx lost them. I’ve ordered many furniture items from Target lately and they’ve all been underwhelming and almost all are going back. Do better Target. Quality control is an issue!
