A: Hi Thleeny, That is a great question! The dry Crayola Model Magic compound can be painted with Crayola Watercolor, Tempera, Acrylic, and washable paints or decorated with Crayola Markers. It takes about 72 hours to completely dry. Wet Model Magic can be colored with watercolor and markers, however, the colors will be lighter than those applied to the dried compound and the pieces may take longer to dry. In addition, wet Model Magic can be colored before modeling by kneading drops of watercolor, tempera, acrylic or washable paints in. We hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please give us a call at 1-800-Crayola.
A: Great question! Crayola Model Magic is an easy-to-use modeling compound that air dries. When dry, it is not pliable like a modeling clay product and feels like a foam cup - light and spongy. Hope this helps!
A: Glad you asked! Yes, Crayola Model Magic is gluten free. Although a product may not contain wheat, Crayola is not a gluten-free manufacturing facility. Since multiple Crayola products are produced in the same manufacturing facilities and on the same machinery, there is a slight chance of cross-contamination. While the protocols we follow are proprietary, I can confirm the machinery used to manufacture Crayola products is cleaned between production runs in a manner that meets or exceeds all regulations. Hope this helps!

A: Great question! Although in most cases we believe creativity has no limits, we don't recommend putting Crayola Model Magic in the oven. This modeling compound is meant to be air-dried. Exposing your sculpture to high heat sources will cause is to discolor, warp and crack. Hope this helps.
A: Thanks for asking! We haven't tested our Model Magic to be used for this type of craft, so we are unsure of its results. If you would like to try it for yourself, we'd suggest testing it in a small, inconspicuous area. Happy creating!
A: Thanks for asking! Air-Dry Clay will dry down to a hard, clay-like substance. Model Magic will remain somewhat pliable, and have a spongy texture to it. If you should need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. Happy creating!
A: Thanks for asking! When using Model Magic in molds, we suggest pulling your object out of the mold right away. Do not allow the shapes to dry inside the molds, as all sides will not be exposed to air. For best results, let it air dry on wax paper overnight before decorating or painting. Happy creating!

A: Thanks for your question! Model Magic dries to the touch overnight and dries completely in 72 hours depending on the thickness of the piece. It may be beneficial to add a clear varnish to it now, since it has been drying for two weeks. We hope this helps!
