I’ve had this diaper genie since my first baby and she is 6 now. It was great for us! I used it on my second baby and the lid didn’t break until she was about 2. Using it for my 3rd baby now because it takes nothing to put the lid back on with my hand. ;)

Horrible! I bought this because so many reviews said it was better than the original and fits more diapers. It is not and does not. It is so short, so you have to bend down and then shove your hand into the pail to force the diaper in. Gross.

We’ve had 3 of these (one of which arrived broken) and they are junk. They do not last long nor do they hold a lot of diapers. I’m disappointed that the quality isn’t better by now. The foot pedal broke twice on two of the pails we’ve had and is completely non functional.

second time mom, had the one 12 years ago with the round lid, was like a dream. I swore by it. this one was awful. mine didn't have that odor mechanism on the lid just a square lid, but the whole thing is just cheap. lid never closed, smell was never contained since day 1. I gave up after 6 months, stopped using it and just tossed it. just AVOID. doesn't work

Not worth buying!! The sides are defective and don’t close all the way and when I go to discard and open the pail it wreaks this HORRIBLE Oder I clean it constantly and use other products in there to contain the smell and it doesn’t work!! Waste of money!!

This doesn’t contain the smell as well as the other design. I have both. One is in a common area and I often forget about it (and consequently rarely open it). This one is in her room so I empty it daily at this point. My daughters room still stinks.

I'm a first time mom, and I always told myself my whole pregnancy I wasn't going to buy a diaper genie because I didn't "need" one. However, my son decided to make his appearance early and while on a last minute shopping trip I saw that it was on sale, so I figured what the heck and bought one. This is honestly the smartest investment I have ever made. It traps the smell so our kite hen doesn't smell like dirty diapers. It's convienent and slim so it fits just about anywhere. I'm very happy I decided to buy one.

Way worse than the old design. Doesn’t hold many diapers and is generally difficult to use. I wish I had kept my old one, they definitely didn’t improve the product with their redesign.

Second time mom (not that that matters but someone mentioned bad reviews are only from first time moms lol) and mine broke after just 4 months. It also seems that it doesn’t hold many diapers compared to another brand. I think I will have to go back to something else and not get the diaper genie again.

I had a diaper genie 10 years ago and it lasted for 10 years and was indestructible. I bought a new one it lasted 6 months. I bought another one lasted 4 months! Diaper genies aren't made like they use to. p

Dislike because there is no foot petal. So when you put a dirty diaper in, you have to push so hard that poop swish’s out on your hands then the back thingy that supposed to hold the diapers down hurts your fingers. Terrible idea. I had to return and get the one with the foot petal. They should ALL have a foot petal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously used a diaper genie in my daughters nursery. It worked well overall but I wanted some changes. Thank you Stellar Testing Panel for sending me a new diaper genie. This diaper genie fixed many of the problems I had with my previous diaper holder. It is much easier to cut the bags with the location and angle of the cutter. This diaper pale also has much better scent protection. It is capable of holding in the smell making it less noticeable in the nursery. I appreciated the changes and improvements made to the Diaper Genie.

I enjoyed it while it lasted. As of 1/21 it no longer works part of the lid opening mechanism broke off only way to fix it would be super glue. It lasted 17 months which is decent I guess, just a bummer I need to find a new one that lasts
