This device sounds great. It has a small footprint and is very simple. It is the most troubled device on the market today. It keeps disconnecting from bluetooth like 10's of times per day. The bigger problem is that it does't reconnect automatically and so far no fix. I updated the driver, disconnected and reconnected, removed the device and reinstalled, restored it back to factory settings and reinstalled. Used winds fix bluetooth issues, turning computers on and off. Visited a wide range of websites. Watched so many videos on YouTube that Google made more money from advertising than what the device is worth. No Solution. Now my questions to Google and particularly to its CEO Mr. Sundar Pichai . Are you going to fix these problems?. Does Google know about these problems and intentionally does not intend to fix them?. If so can you please not be as kind as you are in fixing these problems and tell us why? Best regards and the millions who own these devices are waiting for an answer.

This and the hub are just terrible. I have Youtube premium. I ask for a song and most of the time it plays the video on the hub or sometimes it plays a bootleg version on the speaker. Google needs to get this straightenout ASAP! Not a fan of the echo but at least when it comes to music, it plays what it supposed to...

Bluetooth always fails

It has such good potential to be a great product but it does not stay connected via Bluetooth for more than an hour. And you can’t just easily reconnect once this happens (I give up most times). So playing music is a giant pain because it always disconnects after like 45 minutes! I should also add that after some research, this seems to be a universal problem with this device.

This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Wireless interference can also give you trouble connecting Nest products or other wireless devices. It can also cause slow network communications or intermittent disconnections. So your Nest products might continuously disconnect and reconnect, or they may be slow to respond to app control. Working fine then stopped working. Did factory reset and same thing. My alexa devices work fine so my network not an issue. Also when soeaker working it had trouble connecting to my xm subscription, thus is a common problem. This is overpriced and unreliable. Will return

I love this for when I am cleaning and need to skip, but my phone is out of reach. Only problem I'd the random stopping, I'll put a Playlist and after the first song it will just not continue. It does go off at other times without us speaking to it and is hard at times for it to play a certain song or even to hear you say hey Google.

I decided to switch from the Alexa ecosystem to the Google assistant ecosystem because there were some annoyances with Alexa. I was excited to try the mini's because I read good reviews and read that the GA ecosystem was better than Alexa. However, after using them for a week I realized a few things. First, the Google nest mini audio was not even close to the audio of the 3rd generation dot let alone the 5th generation. The build quality was similar but the echo's are much heavy denoting a larger magnet and more solid state design. Another annoyance was the voices. You can change the voices but they don't sound as natural as the voices on the Alexa. The biggest problem I had was the google home app. It's terrible. The GUI is terrible, it's hard to use and disorganized. I preferred the alexa app much more on my iphone. With all of this I decided after using them for a week that I would return them. I'm back using alexa dots and I'm happy with the decision.
